I'm in 9th grade, and the end of the year is fastly approaching. There is a teacher who has really helped me out this year, and I'd like to somehow remember him, by having him sign my yearbook. Is this tacky?

Are you kidding? He will probably feel honored! And really, when you're looking back at it years later, you're going to feel better reading a comment from a meaningful teacher vs. a cute classmate you didn't really know.

Not tacky at all. I have had several of my favorite teachers write in my yearbook.

Not if a teacher made an impact in your school year and possibly an impact on the rest of your life. However, I wouldnt have all of my teachers sign it. That would be kind of geeky.

No - when I finished Secondary School (end of compulsory education here in England) all of my teachers signed it. I think its a nice thought.

just think in 20 years when most of the friends are nowhere near by and you remeber that teacher who may or may not be living if they sign your book you can always read their thoughts it's not dorky i had a choir teacher that i always thought did not like me he was hard on me but he signed my book by saying he was sorry but i needed to be tougher he was hard because he cared if he hadnt signed i waould have never known so if you read this mr hall thanks

Speaking on behalf of teachers....I would have to say NO!

Why would you think it was "tacky"?

NO very thoughtful. lot of teachers wonder if what they do actually matters to any of you kids and if they actually made a difference. when you ask let him know what he did for you, you'll probably make his year! peace!
