While you're here, is there a genealogy question we may try to help with?

The big incident was ugly. Her husband was indicted and tried for lying to the SEC, hiding the truth from regulators about a bank purchase, etc when he worked for a company called BCCI. It's the reason she had to go back to acting by doing the contact lens commercials...they had a whole lot of bills to pay, even though he was later acquited. But I doubt that incident in your project will make her happy to sign your thing.

She really disappeared for a while in the 80s. It was when she married Altman and I think she had a couple of kids around that time (if my memory of People magazine holds true). But it's probably the nice thing that will get her attention and make her pleased that you've taken an interest in her.

Since this is the genealogy section, you must mean Lynda Jean Cordova Carter, of Irish-Mexican descent, born 24 July 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona. After Carter won the Miss Arizona and Miss World USA pageants in 1973, she became an actress. Most known for her role in "Wonder Woman" (1975-79), the statuesque 5'9" (37-27-38) beauty was typecast in the role of an Amazonian super-heroine. Carter's more recent credits, however, include television's "Smallville" (2007) and "Law and Order" (2005) as well as the movie The "Dukes of Hazard" (2005).

At 55-years-old, she does indeed look wonderful. [At 54-years-old, I wished I looked as good!] Incidentally, Lynda is married to Washington attorney Robert Altman and is the mother of two children.
