Im in spanish 1 so im just learning. Am i using proper grammar here, "Tiene piel gris o cafe. Tambien tiene las pezunas negras. Ellos son bajo" im trying to say "they have grey or brown fur. Also they have black hooves. They are short" If you could tell me my mistakes that would be nice. Or if anybody knows a free translation place online that uses proper grammar. I have seen free translations that have horrible grammar.

You should say:
"TIENEN PELO gris o café. También TIENEN las pezuñas negras. Son PEQUEÑOS.

Never trust free online translators, they are rarely accurate.

Hi Kawaii. Here are some notes on your sentences:

"Tiene piel gris o cafe"=they have grey or brown fur
Proper way: Tienen piel gris o cafe

"Tambien tiene las pezunas negras"= Also they have black hooves
Proper way: Tambien tienen las pezunas negras

"Ellos son bajo"=They are short
Proper way: Ellas son pequeñas (if you're still talking about hooves)

First it depends if you are talking about many or just one, if there are many it would be "Tienen piel gris o café, también tienen pezuñas negras y son bajos"
If you refer to only one animal "Tiene la piel gris o café, también tiene pezuñas negras y es bajo"

"Tienen piel gris o marrón (café). También tienen las pezuñas negras. Son bajos". You don´t need to put "ellos" again in the last sentence.

Tienen la piel gris o café.
También tienen las pezuñas negras.
Son bajos.

Everything is in plural so you have to say "tienen"

they have = ellos(as) tienen

When talking about more than one person, "ellos or ellas", you have to use tienen which means they have when you used tiene you said he or she has. Also you need to use bajos because you're talking about more than one person.

Aside from the "Ellos son bajo", it should be "bajos" and "tienen" instead of "tiene" you're fine.
