Remind her that when you walk your dog and it poo's your expected to clean it up. Around here they carry a set of plastic gloves and a plastic bag. They pick it up and take it with them not leaving it on the ground for others to pick up.
You can get those big boxes of plastic gloves real cheap now.
Medical supply or a beauty supply house.
Buy her a box and give her a bunch of plastic bags.

Hmm..that can be tricky. Ultimately, it's your yard and your rules. If you are kind to her dog and are familar with her maybe next time you see her you can casually bring it up. She should understand. If you are still uncomforable bringing it up, maybe when you address it, you can hand her one of those plastic cases that attaches to the leash that contains doggy bags. It's a convienant way to dispose dog waste. Give her one of those (you can find them at just about any pet store or even wal-mart) while you ask her kindly to pick up after her dog. Again, if she is friendly she should understand. I hope I was some help.

I think putting a sign up would be the least confrontational way to get the word across, and I think that's what you're looking for. Something along the lines of the old Blockbuster tapes, Be kind, rewind. ;)

I would give her the chance to play dumb by saying something such as "I don't know if you know this, but I've noticed your dogs going to the bathroom in my yard. I always have extra trashbags if you need one." This way, she's not on the defense, the issue is clearly identified, and you've helped provide a solution if necessary. Good luck!

You could walk out while she is letting it happen, that in itself might deter her. maybe put up a sign or fence. If those don't work, just ask her if she would like it if your dog used her garden as a personal toilet, and ask her to pick up after it.

You could put up a sign: Do not let your dog befoul my beautiful garden lawn!
If she ignores your sign then she is not such a nice person after all!

just mention it when you see her....do you know its her dogs? Tell her you noticed they are pooing outside your gate and ask her nicely to please clean it up when they do. I take many bags with me when out with my dogs so I can clean up after it....maybe she doesnt realise they did it or maybe she thought you wouldnt
