I haven't used my camcorder in a while but I need it for a project so I plugged it in, it turned on fine, I put a tape in it, that worked, then when I took the tape out, the tape reader compartment would not close. If I push it where it says to, it closes for about 2 seconds and then pops open again, as if I wanted it to open. But I don't. I could really use some help here! I need this camcorder for a project over the weekend! Any ideas as to what could be wrong??

it sounds like a transport problem, you need to take it in for repair! I hope you have a current warranty, it has to be no older then 30 days old!

try using another blank tape. it is possible that the one you have has already been recorded on and is at the end of the reel.
