I get canker sores ALLLL THE TIME. They hurt, ive tried all of that numbing stuff that you can buy (kanka, orabase, the little patches you can put over it, EVERYTHING). Is anyone a doctor here because i think i might have to call my doctor to get prescribed something, and it hurts to talk. Ive stopped eating salt, so citrus, everything i can think of that can cause it, but yet i still get them....

yes, there are medical drugs that will help lessen the out breaks from this virus. Talk with your medical doctor.

I recommend you take the supplement L-Lysine 1,000mg, three times daily. This will stop the outbreaks. Also make sure you'd are not eating chocolate or nuts as these can cause more outbreaks.

Oh, I feel for you! I have had them my whole life and they are so debilitating! I have also tried everything, and the closest thing I found to a miracle drug is triamcinolone dental paste, which is also sold as Kenalog in Orabase, Orabase HCA, Oracort and Oralone. It isn't the same as Colgate Orabase. This stuff doesn't do anything for the pain, but you put it on at night and it SHRINKS those things away in just a few days! I think the trick is to get them right when they first appear. But since I started using this stuff, they have never lasted more than 3 days (and my really really bad ones lasted over 10 days!) If you can't get rid of them any other way you really should try this!
Also, what is causing it may not be what you think. I have found that I get them when I eat chocolate, nuts, raw tomatoes and canteloupe! I have actually cut out Nutella from my diet recently (much to my chagrin) and I have gotten fewer.
Another thing: when I get REALLY bad outbreaks (and it hurts even when you're NOT talking or eating), take a regular pain reliever like Tylenol. It never occurred to me to do that before but it does help numb the pain in general.

I feel your pain, I really do!! Good luck!

In my own experience, as soon as I notice that tightening feeling just a day or two before one actually erupts, I use Neosporin triple antibiotic...Apply a small amount and rub it into the skin well a couple times a day.
It stops it before it starts cracking every time..
Hope this helps you

Canker sores are really painful. The best thing you can do is go to your doctor, because you get them all the time.
They are a form of herpes, so no oral sex. Get to your doctor.
