Sometimes it's just plain old jealousy. You have something going for you that she doesn't have so she has to trash it to feel good about herself.

Some people think that imitation is the highest form of flattery. I just find it annoying. If it is a younger person doing it to an older person, you can probably guess that they are imitating you because in their eyes, you're an awesome person. If it's a peer, again, you can probably say that they like you.
It's often thought that when a young boy teases a girl, he likes her, so that's a possiblity. If it's a friend of yours, they're probably just having some fun.
Personally, if I was in the mood to mock someone, I wouldn't want to mock someone I hated, because I wouldn't want anything to do with them. Why would I want to act like them?
So, although it can be annoying, generally when someone mocks you, it's because they like you in some way or another.

I'd pay attention to her voice and the look on her face as she's mocking you. But regardless, I think it's rude. I would never mock other people, it would hurt their feelings and I for one do not do that.
Flattery would be something like a female friend copying you, wanting something that you already have, dressing like you, asking where you got something or had your hair cut, or something. That is nice, but gets really creepy really fast.
Find some nice friends... you deserve that.

It's rude, disrespectful and mean.
What does it mean? It means they have no manners and lack communication skills.
Mocking someone is a passive agressive (and ignorant) form of disagreement. It's also a form of sarcasm.
I would avoid people like that. It's not funny or flattering. It's obnoxious.

It can be different things. They might not understand what you are saying, so they mock you to cover it up. Or maybe they are jealous, so they mock to try to make themself seem better. It's usually a sign of lack of intelligence on her part, since she cannot talk out her problems without insulting.

She is making fun of you and you should bring out her worst faults the same way and she will get the message.
Commedians have done that for years everyone has one character flaw that stands out. Find it and repeat it and everyone says your just like sue. What a good immitation.

Considerate it one of two ways:
1) Imitation is the highest form of flattery
2) It's just a hater doing her job (thanks Katt Williams)
