I get so tired jogging, so I have to alternate between walking and jogging. I do about 3 miles total including both. Now, keeping in mind that jogging probably will elevate my RMR for longer than walking will, is it better to jog? Or is another mile of brisk walking equivalent to 1 mile less of jogging? I want to lose weight as fast as possible and I am stuck (diet is ok).

one reason you are stuck might be depriving, eating too little to lose fat.
dont count miles you do cardio - count time which should be 30-50min 4-6 times a week. you can jog then walk and jog again - just try to do your best (make sure your heart rate is elevated all the time). interval cardio is proven to be more effective by the way.

I agree with willy. weight training will help tone and strengthen the muscles; this in turn will help you with your running and mean your body will be more efficient at burning calories even when at rest.
visit a gym and have a word with the instructors telling them what you've written here and they should be very helpful!
