Yes. Check out my source; it has a lot of information about organic foods.

Here's an excerpt (it also has research on the page):

Can organic foods really improve my health?
"Yes. Organically grown food is your best way of reducing exposure to toxins used in conventional agricultural practices. These toxins include not only pesticides, many of which have been federally classified as potential cancer-causing agents, but also heavy metals such as lead and mercury, and solvents like benzene and toluene. Minimizing exposure to these toxins is of major benefit to your health. Heavy metals damage nerve function, contributing to diseases such as multiple sclerosis and lowering IQ, and also block hemoglobin production, causing anemia. Solvents damage white cells, lowering the immune system's ability to resist infections. In addition to significantly lessening your exposure to these health-robbing substances, organically grown foods have been shown to contain substantially higher levels of nutrients such as protein, vitamin C and many minerals."

Yes they are, but make sure they are truly organic. Some may say they are but read the package or go to Organic stores to buy them, like Henry's or AJ'S, depending on where you live. I live in WI and there are none of these but just make sure to read where they actually come from, true organic or just a label. good luck out there !

I agree with Kayley, and just wanted to add that I always use organic meats, milk and poultry. Not only do they taste better, but they don't contain the hormones and antibiotics that are in non-organic meats, poultry and milk.

A lot of people say that organic food is better only because there are no chemicals that you will be ingesting.

No they are not. I'm not saying pesticides are good, but then you can have worms and the like with organic foods, and is that any better? Why not just eat local food and save the enivronment?

Organic foods aren't better for human consumption.

When you buy organic foods you are helping the environment and that's it. Less chemicals are flowing into our streams and ground water from organic farms.

some foods absorb pesticides more than others.

strawberries, bell peppers, spinach, cherries, peaches, cucumbers, cultivated button mushrooms, and wheat are best to buy organic.

some foods are relatively safe to buy non-organic: bananas, mangoes, papayas, pineapple, and corn - basically, foods with tough skins.

largely speaking, organics are healthier for the land and for people.

Yes, because preservatives and those grow-faster chemicals are bad for you. They can stimulate allergies, etc.

YES. They are so much healthier because they have no preservatives and haven't been manufactured. SO MUCH. I love organic foods!
