Religionism is not a good quality, and Jehovah's Witnesses do not seek to be religionists (that is, persons more committed to a particular religion than to true worship).
Of course, Jehovah's Witnesses have the true religion. They are Christian (of course), but they are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.
These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.
1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.
2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.
3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.
4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.
5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.
6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

Jehovah witnesses are being misled. Read this from your own watchtower web site. They will tell you the true name of the Creator, and it ain't Jehovah (no "J" in the hebrew alphabet why can't you understand that?)
Why They Left It Out
When J. M. Powis Smith and Edgar J. Goodspeed produced a modern translation of the Bible in 1935, readers found that LORD and GOD had been used in most places as a substitution for God's name. The reason was explained in a preface: "In this translation we have followed the orthodox Jewish tradition and substituted 'the Lord' for the name 'Yahweh' and the phrase 'the Lord God' for the phrase 'the Lord Yahweh.' In all cases where 'Lord' or 'God' represents an original 'Yahweh' small capitals are employed."
Then, in an unusual reversal of the tradition of the Jews who read YHWH but pronounced it "Lord," the preface says: "Anyone, therefore, who desires to retain the flavor of the original text has but to read 'Yahweh' wherever he sees LORD or GOD"!
On reading this, the question immediately comes to mind: If reading "Yahweh" instead of "LORD" retains the "flavor of the original text," why did the translators not use "Yahweh" in their translation? Why did they, in their own word, 'substitute' the word "LORD" for God's name and thus mask the flavor of the original text?
The translators say that they were following orthodox Jewish tradition. Yet is that wise for a Christian? Remember, it was the Pharisees, the preservers of orthodox Jewish tradition, who rejected Jesus and were told by him: "You have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition." (Matthew 15:6) Such substitution truly weakens the Word of God.
In 1952 the Revised Standard Version of the Hebrew Scriptures was published in English, and this Bible, too, used substitutions for God's name. This was noteworthy because the original American Standard Version, of which this was a revision, used the name Jehovah all through the Hebrew Scriptures. Hence, the omission of the name was an outstanding departure. Why was it done?
In the preface to the Revised Standard Version, we read: "For two reasons the Committee has returned to the more familiar usage of the King James Version [that is, omitting the name of God]: (1) the word 'Jehovah' does not accurately represent any form of the Name ever used in Hebrew; and (2) the use of any proper name for the one and only God, as though there were other gods from whom he had to be distinguished, was discontinued in Judaism before the Christian era and is entirely inappropriate for the universal faith of the Christian Church."

it is easy to bypass to the fanciest college and get the ideal grades and the utmost honors to be a criminal professional, yet that would not make him the ideal criminal professional. Why? because of the fact he has no adventure interior the indoors maximum end of the sphere. dealing with people. in simple terms because of the fact some one reads a mag and study 5 pages a e book a week with the readings of relatively few scriptures in touch , would not make on a biblical student or someone who has a private dating with G_d the two. So in simple terms because of the fact one would belong to an prepared faith would not make it the only or one faith that teaches actuality.

well it depends on what people think is religious. We Jehovah's Witnesses obey god's commands and follow all of what the bible says. Most people follow the bible to a certain degree and add things to it...and thats what they consider religious.

I agree with you..this is why I have chosen to study with Jehovahs Witnesses out of any other religion...I see that they truly try to live their lives according to the Bible, not only the parts that appeal to them like others do. The bible says to abstain from all things defiling the body, & I see Catholics, Baptists et et that smoke, do drugs et et..I have never met a Jehovahs Witness that curses, cheats, lies, commits adultery, fornication...soo many of my old friends that were Catholic, lived w/a man (unmarried), had sex before marriage...et et...I just always found this to be hypocritical. How can you say you follow what the Bible teaches when doing what is says not to do??!! Hypocritical to me...This is why I chose Jehovahs Witnesses..they dont do any of these things...I always asked to my Catholic friends, how can you commit all kinds of sins Mon-Sat & than go to church, ask for forgiveness & turn around & do the same things again & again....soo hypocritical...thats why I wouldnt even think about becoming a Catholic or any other religion...

They have the best literal approach. I would like to see them emphasize spirituality more, but they sure will let you know what it really says and prove it. I should get a lot of flack for that. When was the truth ever popular?

Jehovah is another pronunciation of Yahweh. Yahweh is god. You can not be Jehovah.
They are a cult not a religion. That is why they lost their tax status in the early 90's. If you are going to be religious why not just go to a non-denominational church? Why pick a specific religion?

Don't think so folks and I have no Religious affiliations at all.
From what I have heard from ex JW's and the reasons they left in addition to my own research, it's pretty obvious that it is very cultic, suppressive and controlling of it's members down to scare tactics and out right harassment.
I won't go anywhere near it.
