This is very puzzling. People ask Christains their opinion directly ie: How do Christians feel about ________? When they get an honest reponse the thumbs down bandits come out in full affect, and usually leave rather insulting comments. Why ask if you're wot willing to accept the answer?

LOl I know what you mean. It's kinda silly because thumbs down on a Christian telling our their truth or opinion, when asked makes no sense. I think it's rather humorous though...I don't thumbs down things that require my own "experience" to really know.

Only one person asked the question. That person may not have done any thumbs down. The people who did the thumbs down are free to exercise their own judgment. The Y!A format is frustrating because there is no good way to reply directly to an answer other than with thumbs up or down. I know I would prefer to be able to respond with something written, but since that isn't possible, I use the thumbs down/up instead.

Questions can be seen by everyone on here. Why do you assume it is the asker who is giving the thumbs down. People troll around here thumbing up and down at random.

like any forum to any Q....it all depends on what is the response. i am not one to be happy thumbs downer but i can see why it happens...i see people who ask genuine Q. just for there knowledge to be expanded. and they get A that are just ugly...that is only how i see it though

Someone that asks the question may very well want the answer. It is not like they are banded together with a lot of thumbs downers and setting us up. The thumbs downers are looking for this type of question to jump on. This is their way of expressing their opinion, I guess.

I think some just get their kicks by baiting. In any case, anytime the Word is out there, it will not return void. And you never know when someone really wants to know the answer, so God wins anyway. Personally, I enjoy reading the answers of my fellow Christians even when they answer baited questions. It is affirming and encouraging at the same time and the insults roll off. It also give you a good idea of who to pray for most, out of those who would never ask for prayer. You have to learn to make the most of any experience and you certainly get enough practice here on Yahoo Answers. God bless you.

It may be some other trolls who thumbs down the answer. Just expect it. I think Yahoo! should add a feature that "shows" who thumbed down the answer or at least give limited amount of thumbs down per account.

Oh, but the same thing happens to atheists. I've gotten thumbs down when I've stated simple facts, not opinions.
