if we believe in the idea our roots determine how born, or what royalty, what nationality, what religion then we have justifications to carry someone else' argument and quarrel with us into our lives
if we believe our own life is detatched from other's problems and handle our own, all are born atheists/agnostic and start with clean slate
that would be a problem for those who need for you to be a sinner and in need of thier salvation and to be a loser so they can be a winner

Why does everyone think we evolved from cavemen? Adam and Eve were the first humans on earth. There were many more humans that God created. All the different countries had different races and God created them. Pray tell who taught these so called cavemen to talk?

Just as knowing what will happen in the end times doesn't have a bearing on your eternal livelyhood, neither does knowing where you came from. But, if you are a Bible believer, the beginning is not laid out nearly as foggy as the ending. If you don't believe in God, I don't see why it would matter. But, often times those who don't believe in God make it their mission to dissprove God. Seems like a cat chasing its tail.
Basically it will all pan out in the end. Either the God of the Bible and the teachings of the Bible are right or they are not.

We already know that we evolved. It matters that we have knowledge. And if you don't think that changes anything, you should go back to the live like the cavemen.

In fact, the Buddha did say that the question of where we came from is an irrelevant question, that it has no bearing on anything. Reality is as it is regardless of how "we" got here. He also said that, since no one had ever been dead and returned to talk about it, it is pointless to speculate about "what happens" after we die. Neither question can be proven with any degree of certainty.
And you have made an excellent point as well.

Knowing where we came from helps us to know why we are here, what is the purpose of our life, what is the most important goal in our life. If we evolved, and God was in charge of that, then the answer might be almost the same as if we just know that we came from Adam and Eve. If God made us for companionship, then getting to know Him is very important, and life is about getting to the place where we can get to know Him. If we evolved randomly, then possibly there is no real purpose to our lives, except to enjoy ourselves. If God made us, then we should enjoy Him, enjoy knowing him through nature, through social exchanges, through His self revelation, get ready to spend eternity with Him in the most beautiful place that he is making for us because He loves us so much that He wants to spend eternity with us.

Because Truth matters,
If all we are is just molecules in motion, then there is no reason for anyone be altruistic or care about their neighbor. Survival of the fittest would and should reign supreme.

Intellectual curiosity. Plus there are many medications, drugs, and vaccines based on evolutionary theory - the more we discover, the more we realize we can fix.
