You can make a low-salt Cajun Seasoning blend easily. I say low-salt because unfortunately too many seasoning blends are high in salt (because it's the cheapest ingredient). So, all that salt isn't good for you. Plus it masks all of the great flavors of your ingredients. Here's a homemade version: All Purpose Cajun Seasoning Blend 1/2 tsp. salt 1 T. garlic powder 1 T. onion powder 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper (less is more with cayenne pepper...you can use less if you don't want it to be too hot...then you can adjust from there) 1/2 tsp. of freshly cracked black pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika Blend everything together and place in an airtight container. Use within a month or so.
