Do you think it would have no effect, or that it would end Christianity, or that it would end atheism, etc.?

I don't know about the other religions but I can think of three approaches Christianity might take

(1) Aliens are not made in God's image and therefore do not have souls or their souls are tied to their bodies and die with them.

(2) Aliens have souls in need of the word of Jesus Christ, just like human pagans.

(3) Aliens have souls, but God has arranged a different plan of salvation for them.

Most probably christian groups here on earth will try to convert aliens from "universicosmogity (their i-don't-know-religion)" to "christianity, etc." and baptize them in some discovered icy rivers in one of the moons of Jupiter.

Then they will build a cathedral between Uranus and Pluto and a colossal altar for worship somewhere in the Magellanic Clouds.

I believe there are intelligent life on other planets.

In Buddha's life story, he was human, animal, alian form of life on different planet ( or called different world ). As per record, 100,000 planet.

I have no proof on it, other then written. However I took his point of view as, since Human can evelote in this world, there would be so many planet out there to evelote other kind of life.

It would have absolutely no negative affect on atheism. But it will be fun to watch the believers scramble around and try to fit aliens into their bibles.

"Worlds without number have I created;... and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten" (Moses 1:33)
Maybe intelligent life is in those worlds.

it would affect them very little.

they'd find some obscure scripture in exodus or malachi to explain it away.

logic and factual knowledge affects them very little.

There isn't life on other planets. If there were, it would be recorded in the bible.
