My boyfriend claims that he doesn't look up porn anymore. He told me that he has in the past, but not often. When I asked him what kind of porn he use to look up, he became embarrassed and said "nice girl porn," whatever the heck that means! I'm a virgin and have old fashioned morals, which he loves about me. He's 21 and a virgin too.

Oh! Also, he has amazing control for a guy! Sometimes I'll buckle when we're being intimate and say, "let's just have sex," but he always talks me out of it! He knows that I truly want to wait for marriage and I would regret it.

Of course it's possible to not look at porn while in a relationship, it simply isn't probable in the case of most men (especially in their early 20s). Men like to explore their sexuality, and porn aides them in doing such. By looking at porn, they can develop (visual) preferences (mostly regarding women and their looks). While it seems shallow, everyone has their own "type" that they look for, and some people take longer than others to develop a "type", if you know what I mean.
If I were you, old-fashioned morals or not, I wouldn't come down too hard on him. If it's a huge issue for you, you and your boyfriend could seek counselling. Myself, I let my boyfriend look at porn as much as his heart desires. I'm not insecure about my relationship with him, so I don't mind if he watches other women engaging in sexual activity once in awhile - he isn't going to leave me for a girl in a video he's only seen once. I'd hate to push him away by dictating over what he can and cannot do. While we do work together to maintain a healthy relationship, we are our own people, and we don't try to control each other - just a little "personal experience" food for thought.

It has been scientifically proven than men are much more visual than women. I read about one test which consisted on showing several images and measuring brain waves and monitoring eyes. Men reacted more to the semi-naked women image rather than other images. Women did react when they saw a semi-naked men, but compared to men's reaction there was a huge difference. Women did react much more to a baby image than men.
So... Even if you marry him, it's inevitable. You (as a woman) will never, ever understand it. It's what men are. We might choose not to, but there's almost no reason why not! Besides, it's not cheating.
Another way to explain: If there's a woman dressed in a sexy way, I'll automatically watch her and even imagine how she will look naked. So, what is worse? Using our imagination with someone real, or watching women we will never meet in our lifetime? >:)
You're extremely lucky that he has been a decent man. He could have used the typical "prove me that you really love me" to have sex with you. And trust me, it's really difficult ignoring our built-in instincts.

Well, if he is 21 and still a virgin, then he's got to have SOME kind of outlet. Don't make him feel ashamed over it....he's a guy and it is a natural thing for him to do. I understand that it makes you uncomfortable, but if he told you that he doesn't do it anymore, then do yourself and him a big favor.....YOU leave it in the past, too.

let the man have his porn. My husband and I met and got married within four months of meeting each other and nine years later we look at porn together...meaning the Playboy. There really isnt anything wrong with it. If you dont want him looking at it around you then your right to ask him not to. If he is looking at it when not around you, then that is his right to do since he is his own person and you dont control him.

it is possible --- i would be surprised if a 21 year old virgin could keep away from it --- the hormones are raging --- its really a harmless distraction --- it keeps his mind focused on you as a person rather than a sex object --- have fun
