I am doing the same colors but I am doing black, fuschia, and white. If you really want another color, maybe silver. Silver will be an easy color to get for favors and decorations My bridesmaids are wear black dresses with fuschia sashes, while my flowergirls are wearing white with fuschia and a little black trim.

I like the black but fuschia is just too 1985. Go to Davids website and play around with the dress your wedding tool.

i love your idea of the black dresses with the fuchsia bow. I was in a wedding (very fancy one) and the bride maids dresses were black with some white lace in a style of dresses from the forty's but with a little twist. anyway don't let people say that black is not used as a color for a wedding because it is and its not the only wedding i have seen black dresses it looks very elegant and formal and beautiful. The best to you.

Black and fushia can be pretty. However, I want you to consider that those are typically winter colors. Not really for May. My niece had those colors she married last fall - the colors were beautiful. However, the desses were fushia with black highlights not a bow. Most of the styles and colors in magaizines now are for Winter. In Winter/Fall they will start showing the Spring/Summer colors. Weird I know, that is just how it goes. Then you have to order just in the nick of time to get the dresses in on time. You can still look at the designs, but select carefully for colors that will appropriate for summer.
Congrats on your wedding.

Don't listen to everyone else. If you want black to be a wedding color, go for it, especially if you aren't superstitous. It's your wedding. My sister-in-law and my sister both had all their bridesmaids in black. My sister-in-law also wanted the grooms family in black. It really made them stand out in their white gowns. As for the pictures, sorry, I can't help you there. There are thousands of websites that deal with formal gowns, so there should be something you like out there somewhere, it's just a question of finding it. Perhaps a good time to look would be around Christmas--there's always lots of black on sale around Christmas!

I think it would look cool to have the bridesmates were a fuschia bow in their hair, and wear that pink belt you were talking about. You should also make the groomsmen wear a pink bow tie. I hope that helped, b/c that's just what I though would look cool!

I went to a wedding and the girls were in black dresses.. at first I thought umm... weird! But after seeing everything piece together, it was gorgeous!! Good luck!!!!
p.s. maybe go to a fabric store and have them put a dress together or put together a general idea and go somewhere that makes dresses for you!! :)

god were not living in 1907 it's 2007 and you can do whatever you want, don't listen to people saying bad luck crap, you have been lucky enough to find a good guy that you want to marry so go for whatever colours you like best, try a fabric shop and check out the two colours together different shades and fabrics and take it from there all the best on the big day.
