You have to "play" with the margins.
Open your Word document.
click File
cl Page setup
set the margins to at least .75 or 1" all the way around.

Now, click Format
Borders and Shading
click the Page Border tab
click the Box
click Options
It probably indicates a border from the edge of page

click the down arrow and select "text"
You can increase the borders a little, like3 or 4 points
click, to uncheck, "surround header, surround footer."
click o.k., o.k.

click the Print Preview button to see how it will print
if it is o.k., close Print Preview

If it is not o.k.
- click the "Magnifier" button to allow you to edit in Print Preview
- you can now click File, Page setup and make changes while in Print Preview.
- when finished, Close.

Your page size is not matching the printers page size correctly

try looking at your options and adjusting your borders under 'Page Preview' or 'Page layout'
