i love your idea, it's interesting how theres as much to say (and even more) when you switched christianity and athiest from the question in the link. kina ironic.
i'd have to go with number seven. although christianity has emerged as the dominant religion in most of the world it really has the most ignorant history. in the first crusade they massacered the muslims and brutally killed everyone there in the name of god. when jesus himself said love thy enemy or something like that. the muslims later came back and instead of dealing the christians the same that was done to them they let them surrender in peace. so i'd put another catagory within the list, they're hipocritical they say stuff like in the bible and don't listen to it themselves. They killed joan of arc because she was "hearing voices of god" in her head. doesn't that sound familiar...
theres so much more to say, seriously, but i'm sure you don't want to hear me ramble forever.
peace
good question

Your post, bashing Christianity, and then your first 3 claims show you are a hypocrite (Like all Christians supposedly are). #6, is a perfect example of the non-religious being brainwashed (Like all Christians supposedly are), radical Christians do try and get their agenda pushed, but so do all groups IE. Madalyn Murrie O'Hare. As for number 5, point to some concrete archaeological evidence which destroys the Bible, the fact is all the claims that the Bible is trash are based on speculation and "contradictions" which often can be explained simply by revealing what the true meaning of certain phrases were in antiquity, and translation errors long after the date of composition. Number 4. is a matter of faith, and I could see how someone can think its absurd so I will leave you alone on that one.
Do we claim to be the right way.... Yes, we make a hard claim, complete tolerance gets only so far you have to eventually make a statement and let others bash you for it.

In answer to those claims:
Not all Christians bash Atheists, and besides there is PLENTY of Christian bashing from Atheists.
Not All Christians are intolerant of other's beliefs, some know that people are free to believe what they wish.
To say Christians are promoting willful ignorance, as in the bible being true, is just a silly statement, obviously Christians believe it to be true, or at least parts of it.
Trying to infiltrate the government and laws...ummm do Atheists never protest things? If you have a personal view about something do you not have the right to have your opinion heard? Or is it only an opinion of someone who is NOT a Christian that counts?

Great comeback, Häβlich! It is fascinating to see how identically each "side" sees the other. (Only the doctrines are changed.) I think the most grievous fault of each is a complete lack of faith. Not doctrinal "faith" certainly, but faith IN what they believe, things like justice, love, peace and common humanity.
What passes for "faith" is an arrogant sense of certainty. Believers don't so much say "I believe" as "I know" (and it doesn't make much difference to them any more). Scripture is used as a weapon rather than a guide. Revelation is a playbook for a cynically rigged game. And evangelicals are torn between a desperate effort to save the unwitting from the just punishments of a loving God and the smug contemplation of endless torture for willing disbelievers.
Some of the louder atheists are little better, filled with intolerant rage, resorting to flimsy, casuistic tricks to "prove" their adversaries dangerous fools. I have greater sympathy for them, but they are so angry, so absolute! It's as if theists have nothing of value to say, even allegorically. We're ALL humans. We all have the ability to reason. And we all have experiences that we don't quite understand. Surely we can indulge the humility to admit we don't know everything, and to respect each others' interpretations as we expect them to respect ours.
1 is the worst, for both sides. Combined with fear, the rest all flow from it

1. How many times was the word HATE used here in these answers?
2. Are you so dishonest you cannot admit to bashing believers? I am big enough to say, yea I have done it and I am sorry...are you?
3. Are you tolerant of others beliefs? You are not tolerant of mine obviously
4. The majority of Christians believe in evolution, just accept this argument is worthless
5. Would saying Christians are willfully promoting ignorance be bashing Christians....do ALL of them say the Bible is completely without error...
6. You are going to have to learn to live with the idea that the USA does not belong to you, all people have a say in our government and laws, if not, you would not have the freedoms you have now, take mine, I take yours, we both lose
7. All of the above...but then you never generalize and of course, you love all Christians right, you just hate what they believe...GOD.

Just the conversion part. I could care less how stupid they think my beliefs are, or how right they think their beliefs are, or why they think so. It's when Christians try to convert me that makes me annoyed. I try not to show my indignation, because I know that they only mean well (it's certainly not out of hate that they're trying to save me from hell, or the 'loneliness' and 'unsatisfied life' they think I have). At the same time, I can't help but be frustrated that they don't think I'm good as I am.

I have to choose most of of these, not all:
1, 3, 5 & 6.
About 2: It's really stupid & bigoted to bash Atheists, but that fits under the category of intolerance.
About 4: I'm a Deist, so I believe a God exists, but I also believe that He/She let creatures evolve & the big bang to take place, He just gave the "spark"...Makes more sense than Christianity don't you think :-)

2. Lying about atheists. Saying things about us that they can't know. (That we're arrogant, we're evil, we don't want to submit.) Saying things about us that are outright false. (That we're trying to remove religion from public view, when all we're trying to do is remove religion from public funding and government endorsement.)
5. Promoting willfull ignorance. (Not only the Bible, but straw men for evolution, misrepresenting its role in the Dark Ages and the Renaissance, and misrepresenting American history.)
6. Trying to insert their superstition into law and government.
8: Other: The deadly consequences of (5), most strikingly the millions of lives lost to AIDS, while they call themselves "pro-life."
9. Other: That it had me brainwashed for the first 4 decades of my life.
I don't know that i can respond to someone who confuses criticism with Christian bashing, confuses disagreement with intolerance, considers evolution to be willfull ignorance, and confuses fighting for our rights with infiltration of government and laws.
