You should talk to her about and see how she feels about getting you a two-piece bathing suit. And i guarantee that she will take you serious as an adult and she may change her mind. Just be serious with her and talk to her in a nice tone so she won't think you are getting an attitude and trying to grow up too fast.

You got to cut out the stomach section, I hope you have a sewing machine. As soon as you remove the stomache, you have to sew a seam around the top of the bikini bottoms and the bottom of the bikini top. And tell your mom how you feel, communicate with her that you are proud of your body, and proud of how a bikini makes you feel sexy. Good luck!

so return or exchange it. either way its a sign telling your mom "i appreciate the thought, but id like to pick out my own suit."
cutting it is terrible and will never work.
