wow you talk as if you were there, whats your proof? carbon dating, ha, give me a break thats a joke, some scientist think that the Grand canyon was formed at the same rate as it is being erroded today, i think that that is simply erroneous, is it not conceivable in the least bit that possibly it could have been carved at a more rapid rate? 6,000 yes and tell me just why not.

The belief that the Earth and the universe are billions of years old is based on assumptions that appear reasonable but are not *proven*. Assumptions, for example, about the constancy of radioactive decay over time, and the starting point at which that process began; assumptions about what the universe was like when it first came into existence. To one who expects science to explain everything, and takes as an axiom that the simplest set of assumptions giving a scientific explanation should be accepted until proven false, it makes sense to make these assumptions, and the "scientific" implications of these assumptions make perfect sense.
However, one who does not make these assumptions -- and I emphasize "assumptions" -- other explanations can also make perfect sense.
Indeed, those who believe that G-d gives us free choice, including choice whether to believe the account in Genesis or not, it is *necessary* to think G-d would create the world so that it appear to be older than 6000 years. If it appeared to be that young -- with all the wide variety of life we see -- there would be no choice but to accept a supernatural creation, since the wide variety of species could not have been come about naturally in so short a time. Free choice logically requires that, if God created the universe only thousands of years ago, He had to create it looking far older than that.
Incidentally, Jewish tradition -- from long, long ago -- teaches that there were many generations before Adam and Eve. Some interpret this to explain the existence of fossils of organisms no longer alive.
The philosophy of science requires that assumptions be testable. A Divine Creation is, almost by definition, not testable; science, as science, can't consider that possibility. Science's inability to test something, however, does not prove that thing is false; it's just outside Science's domain of knowledge and investigation.

SPACE AND PLANET EARTH
Gen.1:1,2; Job 38:30-32;
The earth was ages old when it was prepared ages to be seen by the angels that do not die Job 38:4-7; they are called morning stars and sons of God and inhabit the heavens. Jesus was the first creation created before all. John 17:3,5,24; Col.1:14-17; Rev.3:14; So after ages in time as Day for God, and even Adam was to live forever Gen.1:26; God said,'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."
This was done 6073 years ago when every thing else was ages old, when the earth was prepared ages, so LOST in Eden is the time given in the bible to SAVED Rev.20:1-6; in the 1000 year reign of Christ or Satan has 6130 years from Eden to Rev.20:1-6,12,13; No Satan 1000 years then Rev.20:7-10 No Satan at all. So 7,130 years after Eden is accounted for.
Eph.2:7; 3:21; The world with Jesus is without end. John 3:16; 2Pet.3:13; Rev.21:1-5; ALL LOST IS SAVED AND MADE AS NEW AS BEFORE EDEN.
The offsprings of Adam could have been wiped out at any time, 1Cor.15:22-28,51-53;
As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Acts 17:31; 24:!5;
A resurrection of the just and the unjust into judgement day of 1000 years, by
the heavenly for the new Rev.3:12; heavens, Heb.12:22-24; All through the bible. Gal.26:4;

How can you say it is not? That shows me that you have swallowed a lot of nonsense. Lets see, where you here prior to 6000 years ago and witnessed whether it was still around or not. Oh I know you believe that the world is over 10 billion years or more. You believe because other wise you would say that the bible is correct, and you cant do that because you don't believe in the Word of God.
Yes I believe there are Christians who believe in evolution because they believe that it has been proven to be correct, when it is not, it is only subjective manipulation of the facts to state that the evidence or the proof you have the world is of extreme age, and the only reason that you need an extreme age is for the far far far out chance to make evolution even remotely plausible. When you know that you have no substantial proof. You can argue the issue till your blue in the face, and the only one you will convince is yourself, so stay deluded in your fantasies and your dreams to promote your religion.

They reached the number by counting all the Biblical genealogies. Try counting the ones in Matthew chapter 1 if you think that method works. Not only does Matthew skip some generations found in the Old Testament sources he used, but his third group of fourteen actually only contains thirteen! That doesn't bode well for this method of calculating the length of human history - and that is without all the data from the sciences that show the earth to be much older!

The same reason it's possible to believe a Jewish Rabbi, walked on water, rose from the dead, some how his death had something to do with me, Woman was created by the rib of a man, the whole world flooded and all living creatures were saved on one boat that took a hundred years to build. Some think its only 2000 yeas old and the holocaust was a lie. NUTS all nuts

They also seem to think the interpertation of the first 7 days are literal...who knows what a day is too god though...it might be 100,000 million years too us.
"will convince is yourself, so stay deluded in your fantasies and your dreams to promote your religion. "
Oh i see beliving in evolution which can actually be proven is delusion? But believing in a book that has been mistranslated,altered,and belief system resulting from it has spawned wars,holocausts,persecutions is valid? WTF was ever wrong with me! Give me a break...reverse the statement and you will come to the real conclusion. There is no proof the world is only 6,000 years old...you can quote creationlist scientists all you want....but no one in the world of acadenmics which believe it or not include christians and jews consider them credible.

It is truly astonishing. Such people choose the evidence that fits their silly theories, and invent reasons to ignore anything that would show them to be wrong. To see that the earth is a lot older than that, it requires nothing more than a shovel and the ability to count; the annual layers of the Antarctic ice cap go back hundreds of thousands of years. (No flood, either.)
