No. As I just said in a previous answer, it demonstrated that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. it proves that God has the power to raise us from the dead. it guarantees that those who believe in Christ will not remain dead, but will be resurrected unto eternal life. that is our blessed hope

Of course not! How else was He to conquer death for us?
Did He not still bear the marks of His torture? The holes in His hands and feet, and in His precious side?
People who try to say that, because Jesus rose from the dead that somehow He didn't make a sacrifice for us need to go through the pain that He suffered.
Which of these jokers would like to try to be kept up all night, going through trial after trial, be whipped with a lash with bits of glass and metal tied into it 39 times, have a plaited crown of thorns forced into the flesh around the top of the head till the blood runs down and clots around the eyes and nose, be led about with tied hands by a rope, and finally, after nearly 12 hours of this sort of treatment, be nailed up by the hands and feet to a rough wooden cross for about six hours?
OH, and don't forget the spear in the side between the ribs when your torturers want to make sure you are dead.
Sounds like fun, doesn't it?
Any volunteers??

Greetings!

And, if he did not actually die there, moved to Britain with Joseph of Arimathea and the rest of the Family, spent a Life of Service in the Blessed Isles-

The only sacrifice (which means "to make Sacred") WAS his Life.

He will never diminish, but grow greater.

His atoning sacrifice was accomplished fully on the cross. Being the Son of God, the incarnate Word, who created all things (John 1:1-3), such sacrifice was of such a value as to atone for the sins of the world, making salvation available to all who would believe.

Yes, it does.

There are many other humans who have selflessly sacrificed their lives for far less and without expecting to be resurrected. Most of them have been completely forgotten by history.

Even if the story of Jesus dying and rising again is true, it is no more noteworthy than the other sacrifices by mere mortals who were forgotten long ago.

Because He offered Himself, as an eternal Spirit, He suffered infinitely on the cross when His Father forsook Him, and visited the punishment of all the sins of mankind upon Him.
This is why He cried out "My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?"
On the contrary, the fact the Father raised Him from the dead vindicates His claim to be the Son of God.

The fact that He rose shows us that He is God and that He defeated death so that we will not be defeated by death. If He didn't rise then everything would be for nothing, as He would not have been complete God, only a human. A plai human can't defeat death, only God.

Does it not bother us that there where people on the crosses some just as innocent that died that day? Does it not bother you that praise goes to one sacrifice and no praise goes to soliders and others who die for everyone everyday?

Gosh, no! It makes it all the more special. His rising from the dead shows that he didn't have to go through that suffering and death as he did because he was capable of coming down from the cross, but he stayed to show us obedience and to show us that he was willing to do anything to show us just how much he loved us.

Death is not the end for Jesus--He arose--and now sets at the right hand of God. His death gives us victory over sin--His resurrection gives us hope for the future
