If you're set on a breeder, you must make a decision on what specific breed you want. Not just it has to be a small to meduim sized dog. Go to a place like www.dogbreedinfo.com and figure it out. Nobody can help you find a breeder until you do.

Why did you ask for a breeder when apparently that is not what you are looking for? It should make no difference where you get the dog from. What matters is if you will keep it & care for it for the 10 to 16 years that it will be alive. If you can't make that commitment then you do not need a pet.

Sorry, but there is no such thing as a 'good dog breeder', there are greedy dog breeders just lining their pockets while the poor animals suffer and those in animal shelters are killed by the thousands every single day.

Don't breed or buy while pound puppies die.

If you buy then every single stray you see on the street will stay in your mind and wonder why it wasn't good enough to love.

THERE ARE TWO WEBSITES I COULD GIVE YOU HERE THEY ARE WWW.LIVEDEAL.COM WWW.PUPPYFINDER.COM THEY HAVE A LIST OF BREEDERS YOU COULD CONTACT. HOPE I COULD HELP I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THE POUND THERE ARE A LOT OF DOGS I NEED OF LOVING HOMES ALL OF THESE ANIMALS WERE PUT IN THIS WORLD FOR A REASON AND NOW THEIR ALL ENDING UP HOMELESS OR JUST DEAD A LOT OF THEIR OWNERS WERE JUST IRRESPONSIBLE AND DON'T DESERVE ANY SUCH ANIMAL LIKE THE DOG SOME OF THESE OWNERS NEED TO BE PUT AWAY FOR A VERY LONG TIME IN A PLACE BEHIND BARS LIKE MOST OF THESE POOR INNOCENT DOGS TO HOW IT FEELS TO HAVE IT HAPPEN TO THEM. SORRY FOR THE LECTURE IT JUST KILLS ME TO HEAR OR TALK ABOUT SUCH STUFF THAT HAPPENS TO THESE POOR ANIMALS.

It seems a bit selfish to want a dog strictly from a breeder.
See your local animal pound, they have many dogs there that you can save!!!

A mini schnauzer or poodle cross sounds ideal for you.
