I would suggest the following reads:

The Catechism of the Catholic Church

Why Do Catholics Do That? by Kevin Johnson Ph.D
(Author is Catholic and pro-Catholic...quick easy read)

The Bondage of the Will by Martin Luther

Systematic Theology by Louis Berkhof

The Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin

Knowing God by JI Packer
(another quick easy read)

(Obviously the Holy Bible)

These will help you with development of your theology, and present the arguments wrestled with in doctrine.

Someone else would have to recommend to you positive Anabaptist theological works however in that I cant really recommend any as being succinct as to baptist point of view and to be fair to them.

I am personally a Calvinist (Reformed) and Calvin's book along with Berkhof's book present those ideas, but are excellent works even apart from Calvinism in presenting the ongoing debate (both are large books however).

There is more I could list obviously but that's alot of reading in itself.

I am not sure that anyone knows what "biblically correct" would be.

Every church going Christian thinks his/her denomination is the most biblically correct.

And thank the gods, no person or institution, in a free country can determine for you what it means to be biblically correct.

There is no universal agreement which documents make up the Bible. And given any set of documents, they are subject to multiple interpretations--because more than likely the documents in any given set teach a multitude of incoherent doctrines.

Regrettably I have to say that, in my opinion, none.

I wish that I could say otherwise, for it is not my choice to suggest that many millions of people have been duped for more than 1,900 years, but, if people really want the truth, then it would appear that this whole 'religion' has been bogus from the middle of the first century ad.

In the 1940's there were two major archeological finds of high moment to the 'Christian' churches, the Nag Hammadi texts, found in the Egyptian town of that name in December 1945, and the Dead Sea Scrolls, found in the ancient settlement of Qumran ( which, by the way, means 'Saviour' in Aramaic ) by the shores of the Dead Sea, some 30 kilometres from Jerusalem, which were found, originally starting in 1947.

These two finds, acting in cross-corroboration of each other, allow the discerning enquirer to build a very different picture of the early days of the so-called 'Christian' churches.

Firstly, the family of the man known as 'Jesus', whose jewish name was Yahoshua bin Jusef, or Yashua, which would have been the more usual daily form, were nearly involved in what was.primarily, a virulent fundamentalist, separatist Zionist movement. Most notably his brother James the Just ( Jewish version Y'acov ), probably the figure referred to in the Qumran documents as 'The Teacher of Righteousness', and his twin Judas Didymos, also known as Thomas ( Thomas means 'twin' ), believed to be the author of the Nag Hammadi 'Gospel of Thomas'.

At the famous 'trial' by Pontius Pilatus, there were two men that the Sanhedrin wished the Romans to put to death, Yashua, and another. It has been pronounced publicly for nearly two millenia that the crowd yelled for the release of 'Jesus Barabbas'. What has not been considered is what 'Barabbas' means, it means simply 'Son of the Father', 'father'in this case signifying 'God'. So who was released was Jesus, Son of the Father. This is now, subject to the new interpretations possible thanks to the two above mentioned finds, can be seen to have been James the Just.

After the supposed death of Yashua, James was the unopposed leader of the Essenes, both at Qumran, and in Jerusalem. James even took the place of the High Priest, on the Day of Atonement, at the ceremony at the Temple, in the 'Holy of Holies', where once a year the invocations to atone for the 'sins' of the Children of Israel were officially made by the High Priest, during which ceremony the true name of YHWH was allowed to be pronounced by the same High Priest.

It had been the plan for both Yashua and Y'acov to take the two roles of King and High Priest, but with the removal of Yashua from the scene it was left to Y'acov to fulfil both parts.
This was the situation until the usurper and Great Liar, Paul ( ex-Saul of Tharsus ) appeared on the scene.

The majority of the 'doctrine' as per the question was ooriginated by the same Paul, producing in it's stream a host of total abominations, such as the allowing of 'gentiles' into the church, and the abandoning of the 'Law of Moses', a thing that Yashua had made very clear he was not going to allow in any way, shape or form.

The original Jerusalem Church, a very Jewish, fundamentalist organism, was hijacked by Paul, for his own political motives. Later it was hijacked again by Constantine, for his own political motives, relating to the slow collapse of the Roman Empire, in the 4th century ad.

This is a short version of a very long story, but, as the Church of Rome knows full well, the entire history of the 'Christian Church' is a lie. And therefore, again sadly, all of the other denominations are just as poorly founded, unless they feel very strongly about kicking the Romans out of Palestine, and returning to basic, fundamentalist, Judaism, that is.

As you know, Daniel, your question is very subjective, and no one goes to and supports a denomination they feel is fallen from God's grace. God does know His true Church (the saints, and is calling them to greater truths.

I was an atheist for years because the false teachings of Churches, and now that I believe, I don't trust any preacher and feel the Bible is so easy to understand that it takes a Masters in Theology to make God's plain word say what it does not say.

I've read 10 different translations, studied much history to compare with Bible prophecies, and spent much time on my knees in prayer.

God does reveal His truths, and if you will read an On-line publication, it will give you the beliefs of His restored truths. You see, at the time of Christ God's truth was perverted and the Jews misinterpreted the prophecies and killed the Messiah.

Today all major Churches interpret the Bible in a manner to accept Satan as God in the near future, but God's true people (His true Church) will not be deceived but translated alive. Read God's revealing message at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

Well, I have been to alot of different churches. I have found that the Independent Baptist - Church of God are more true to the word than any other. Now you have to remember not all baptist churches believe the same way.
I can only say for sure it's not the Catholics, nor the Church of Christ nor is it the JW's. Those three I know for sure. Some of the rest is up in the air as far as I am concern. They could go either way.

I am not into these denominations. We are talking about different worship styles. We all are saved by the mercy and grace of God. Our salvation is not about what we are doing right. We are saved when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
