I was thinking Jones Beach, but I heard Sandy Hook and Coney Island are good too. Which one is the best to go to?

Hmm, I would say to avoid NYC beaches all together and take a car to Babylon and visit Robert Moses State Park. Since its a state park, the beach and areas are cleaner and there are alot more things to do rather than just be at the beach all day. There are picnic areas and such, fishing, golf, etc.

Jones Beach. There are eight different beaches there. For to just enjoy nature and the outdoors, try West End 2. For energy try Field 4. For mature crowds try Field 6. For family try Field 5. For walking on the broadwalk try Field 3.
