I recently came out of "a short yet productive relationship" (or so it was) like 2 months ago and it really put me in a not so good emotional place. I really dont like going out now, i hate going to clubs, I dont even flirt with guys like I did, my confidence some what shot and its got to the point where I just wanna be alone and have lots of me time. I have my schedule jam packed with work so that I have an excuse for my friends when they want me to go out with them. I even turn off my cell phone on hours on end (I have to have it on sometimes cause I'm on call but I screen peoples calls...lol).
I dont feel attractive anymore and It really sucks.I've heard the whole "no man is an island BS and that you need to get back in the game".
How can I do that and consatly get disappointed and HURT all the time? What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you were really hurt and need time to heal. Maybe you need someone to talk to, either a counselor or a really good friend. It might just be time you need to realize that this was not a good relationship and you unfortunatley got a guy that treated you poorly. You may never date a guy like this again. Try talking to someone and see if time heals the pain. Good luck- there is a sweet guy waiting for you!!

You know what, you don't have to go to clubs and bars to look for a guy, you can find Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now any where. At the gym, store, school. Just let him approach you, that way you control rather you want to give him a chance or pass and wait for the next one to come your way. I hope this makes sense to you!

Take sometime to pamper yourself and do things that make you a better person. Then when you feel like it ease yourself back into the social scene.

You are showing classic signs of depression - not surprising given your recent breakup. Go see your doctor for a reference to a counsellor. Then talk it out.

Things will be okay.
