Why is it that the media is always trying to show the bad sides of these extremist muslims when there are good Muslims in this world, that want peace and happiness?

Personally I don't believe what the media says on much of anything since statistics prove that 95% or more of the media
have no religious affiliation and don't attend any type of religious meeting.

They are extreme liberal for the most part and subvert truth to twist and pervert the minds of society to their view on things. It would take a very gullible person to believe everything they say because they disregard the laws of jounalistic integrity to promote their own agenda and the agenda of those with whom they agree.

Don't you wonder why they call baby killers "pro" choice and call those attempting to stop the killing "anti" aborton. That little play on words is called "semantics" or word twisting. It makes the killers seem to be "for" something which is generally regarded as better than being "against" something.
How about calling for "gay rights" as if sexual preference should give someone special protection under law. Why not "heterosexual rights" since we have a sexual preference too. There is nothing in our constitution that says sex has a particular protective status. Let's see, "homophobic" is one
more of their duplicitous words that push the public button on the poor persecuted gays. Hog wash! Nobody persecuted gays until they came out of the closet and forced the issue. It was their perogative to be gay and nobody tried to force them
to change. What they are doing is trying to force society to change and accept their perverted sexual behavior as normal
and everyone who disagrees with them as homophobics.
Then there is all the things the media chooses not to cover.
In Iraq there is a great deal of good being done. I have been sent pictures from Iraq showing the citizens smiling and holding signs thanking us for helping them. I have been sent pictures of GIs holding little Iraqi children and giving them candy and playing with them and they all looked very happy.
I sent these pictures to the local media and they would not print them. During the Tsunami many organizations helped the citizens of that area and were given big time press, but Christians were there long after the others left and gave their ongoing support to meet the day to day needs long after the flood and they got NO PRESS COVERAGE! Journalism?

Then there's the liberal coverage of President Bush and the many attempts to make him look bad while at the same time putting deviants like Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid
and Ted Kennedy in a positive light. Many are not aware that Nancy is a filthy mouthed bigot who curses so loud and often that people who work with her fear her. The American press is filled with deception and lies of the greatest magnitude and its power is in what it reports and what it withholds.

There are tons more examples that could be cited, but that is sufficient to educate some who are unaware of their devious practices, heavily biased work and unprofessional jounalism.

There are various reasons behind why people often believe what is displayed to them on television but we can assume the main reason is because television shows people what they want to believe. Much like when we were younger and watched cartoons about great adventures and fun that we would have liked to participate, once we grow older and have the reality of life and work as a burden, television is the great escape that many adults use to get away from the stress. Usually the first thing they will flip to is something with the greatest amount of controversy...the news or information regarding the presidential election, and that excitement is all that they needed to hear to get their minds off of their own problems. Thus belief sets in. Isn't it terrible that there is more action in the news than in present day super hero films and cartoons?

The media is out to sell themselves. Extremists muslims are bad. However I do have the common sense to know that not all Muslim people are bad people. But I also believe that any group of people with a belief in a god of any kind can be dangerous under the ''right'' circumstances.

As salaam alaikum spongebob. The American media will never show the true sides to anything concerning muslim countries, ever. They try to make Islamic countries look bad, to raise themselves up from the bottom feeder level at which they are at.

Worse news sell better. Media will survive so long as they can sell. They offer people what people want to see and not what they´d better see. They need action.

On the other hand, it´s Islam`s turn to play the enemy for the West . An enemy is only then to be called an enemy when he scares you and you don´t know anything about him. So you gotta find news about him that would scare you.

Hi there!

The media needs content that sells... Unfortunately.

The average human would always point fingers to others other than seeking to see where his faults lie. So with the wars that have been going on in the muslim countries, muslims have ended being scapegoats. It's sad.
