Is this an appropriate message to be sending?
What about a church that calls itself "Of the Firstborn"? (From the old tradition that the firstborn son inherited everything his father owned.)
What kind of a way is this of presenting themselves?

That's rather presumptuous. I guess humility doesn't belong in their church.

That's kinda like the Church of Christ - they believe they are the true church because the sign on the front says : " Church of Christ". They remind me alot of the Catholic Church.
The sign on the front of the building only means what they teach and believe - which in some cases isn't a whole lot.
It's what being teached behind the pulpit that counts no matter what the sign says.

Must be a charasmatic church. To be favored by God is to have all his blessings on your life, your family, your church, even nations. I could write a diatribe on the favor of God on ones life. It is a very appropriate message to send as to the blessings of God on the body of believers. There is no reason we should be ashamed and say it, for the devil hates to hear about the blessings of God, (but that's another diatribe I could write) wouldn't want to bore you too much about Gods blessings. Not ashamed to say-- blessed and favored!

It is not safe to go around saying that they are arrogant of what ever until you ask some one what the sign actually mean. That sign could mean that because we follow christ we are the favoured of God (General followers). it could also mean that they consider themselves the remnant church that revelation speaks about etc. If that is what they are saying then the need to study more but as I have said before it is not safe to assume.

God is just, meaning He is no respecter of persons in the sense of showing favoritism - Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 18:30

its no big deal unless u know more than your telling your being picky(no offense) in the world people treat u like a dog and its ok soon as u get in church comments like this come up instant sensitivity that's how the devil works just try to recognize that (again no offence)

Making the claim doesn't put you first. God never stopped talking to His people where ever they may be around the globe - and very individually.

we are the favored of God. He gave us dominion over all his other creatures. He created everything that is for you and me. Why do people exclude themselves from His love?

Which are you?
By saying one is favored of God, it is not to say one is exclusively favored of God.
The favor of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
