This can been natural like prunes or from sugar alcohols in products, etc.
Also, are there any products besides sugar-free sweets that do it (such as diet potato chips)?

Well, anything with fiber will naturally be a laxative, such as apples, most veggies, and some whole grain cereals.

Anything with lots of fibre--bran muffins, prunes, baked beans, etc. As for other foods, I'd have to say too much chocolate, molasses and black licorice candy. I've seen warnings on some bags of jelly beans about the candy having a laxative effect if you eat too many. It's because mineral oil is one of the ingredients.

I've never heard of "diet potato chips" before, just the baked kind. However, I can pretty much be guaranteed a run to the potty from eating:

Tomato based sauces
Thai soups
strawberries
Cabbage slaw

Prunes definitely do it for me. If I drink a lot of pop, I usually start to have a laxative effect. Also, too much aloe vera juice will definitely have a laxative effect.

Yes, the diet potato chips with the "fake" oil (forgot what it's called) give me the runs.

beef hot dogs cooked on the grill and then cut them up and put them in a casserole dish with baked beans, green onions, hot sauce, vidalia onions, and cheddar cheese and cook in the oven for about 20 minutes..tastes great but it seems to have that effect after a few days..
