Matt, read your bible, and tell me about the Devil's fall from grace. I didn't happen to find a story about it, just a vague mention that it may have happened, but the blame can be placed on translations.

Panda: Judaism doesn't have a devil. Satan is an angel in the service of God to tempt mortals, but not a devil.

Eri: I do know this. I also know that the Devil's fall story isn't in Judaism, or early Christianity.

So, how did a Roman word, Lucifer, get into the Bible before Rome was encountered? That is a translation error.

Can we please stop stating the obvious about age and realize that history has worked around publising dates? The Church infused portions of faiths.

How can you be so ignorant of your own faith?

Don't Christians find it funny I'm not a Muslim too?

Satan's fall is recorded in Isaiah. Written ... oh ... about 1000+ years before the Quran!

Follow up note: Followup note. The Hebrew word translated Lucifer is heylel which means shining one, morning star, and/or Lucifer.

Actually, in the Bible it specifically states that Michael the archangel (throught God's power) thrust Satan out of heaven. Also see the reference in the book of Isaiah, posted by Tim.

Oh, and just a reminder to everyone, a religion is not "better" just for that fact that it's older. I am a Christian, but I am aware that there are other religions older than Christianity!

You should try Ezekiel 28:12-19, and Isaiah 14:12-14.
The story is there.
Jesus taught of the devil in Matthew 13:19, and John 13:2.
Jesus teaches his fall in Luke 10:18-20.

Don't Muslims find it hilarious that the Quran didn't even exist until some 600 years AFTER Christianity?
;-D
I know I get a chuckle out of questions like this one!

The Koran came after the story of the devil falling by at least 2500 years. You need to get your facts straight.

he's not my devil. The devil knows God's Word backwards and forwards. He invents all these religions mixed with some truths mixed with his lies. He does so not with man's best interests at heart, but his destruction! This is why religions don't save. Only Jesus saves.

Have you ever heard of plagiarism? Muhammad, like Joseph Smith, was a plagarist of God's Word.

There's nothing new under the sun. Humans like to take God's Word & twist it to mean what they want it to mean--even true Christians do it sometimes. God forgive us!

One clarification on Christian festivities:

Christmas, Easter etc are all pagan. nowhere in the Bible is it mentioned u shud celebrate or participate in these!

Jesus was not born a 25th of december anyway... and as far as Easter is concerned, distributing eggs and rabbits are symbolic...that of fertility...wholly pagan.

The Bible was here first. Jesus confirmed the Old Testament and promised the New Testament. Quran was a lot later. Some stuff seem to be copied from the Bible with some changes.

Look, I don't buy either of the stories, but you really should have known that the bible predates the Koran by hundreds of years.
