My boss really likes me and has asked me out for breakfast and for beers in the past. He has a really bad reputation because he has a tendency to say things without tact. He is several years older than me, married without children and often complains about his wife. He is drop-dead gorgeous and knows it, but he's everyone's definition of a total ---. Strangely, I find that I have a soft spot for him, and when he's asked, I have given him lifts when his wife finished too late to pick him up. Recently, our conversations got too personal and he started flirting a lot. I complained about it and he got upset and gave me a real hard time at work for a while. Now he's re-started! I have a great boyfriend, and yet I find that this horrible boss is always on my mind. I think about him all the time and it's driving me insane, because I think I'm more scared than attracted--he's always staring at me so intensely and it makes me nervous. I feel like Little Red Riding hood. What should I do?

Just turn off the workplace flirting totally. There is no good outcome of this type of situation. If he creates a hostile environment for you because of his staring, that is a form of sexual harrassment, and his giving you a hard time when you don't want to flirt, is definitely sexual harrassment. If you work for a corporation, contact HR to discuss your concerns. If he is the owner as well as the boss, you can contact the EEOC.

Move along...never go out with your boss, especially if he is married...that is big trouble...look for a new job or ask to be placed in another part of the office, where you can work under someone else...good luck!

Make sure you document everything that has happened. Go to H.R. and bring the problem up. Also, go and see a lawyer. See what the lawyer says. If the H.R. does not help go to EEOC. You can also research info. If H.R. and EEOC does nothing then sue the company.

sounds like sexual harassment to me, unless he's the owner, I suggest that you file a complaint with HR. If he is the owner, you need to find another job.

Having an affair with the boss is NEVER a good thing. One way or the other, its going to end in trouble.

Do the right thing.

Don't end up in a no-tell local motel with the guy. Make him take you to a fancy resort and buy you a couple nice outfits.

Enjoy it while you can knowing the guy will never leave his wife despite what he says. Take advantage of him while he's trying to do the same with you.

document everything he does. report him to authorities for sexual harrassment. If they try to fire you then you have a huge lawsuit in store for you.

PS. Don't play along with him anymore or give him any reason to keep doing what he is doing. Do just the opposite. Give him written responses and keep copies. If he has a superior then keep copies for them as well.

Maybe you could say to him something like "you know, you're a really nice guy (OK, lie a little), but I am in a relationship".
