No! That will burn your skin to a crisp! I recomend using a self tanner.
My favorite self tanner is made by a company called 'Vani-T'!
It is actually an airbrush solution that can only be ordered online.
It comes in a 6%, 8%, 10%, and 12% solution. (Lightest to darkest)
I personally use the 8%, since my natural skintone is pale, with olive undertones.
I apply the solution, by mixing 1/2 solution to 1/2 lotion.
This stuff works the BEST!

cooking oil will probably help "cook" you skin, like baby oil, etc. It's not safe and besides skin cancer will cause premature aging and brown spots.
The only safe tan is a fake one. I recommend L'oreal sublime bronze gel, I've found it to be pretty streak free and it doesn't make you orange.

NO. That is really stupid. You need to use a sun screen unless you want wrinkles,age spots and possibly even skin cancer. The sun can damage your skin severely.
