that Pascal's wager is deviously being turned into a form of the Chinese water torture with the aim of taxing atheist rationality (not to mention livers) beyond human endurance.
Suggestions about countermeasures welcome.

thanks Evermom for totally disregarding the drift and managing nicely to get that ol' superior tone worked in. You have reaffirmed my trust in the constancy of human nature.

It's all right: it's also a form of inoculation, or aversion therapy.

If such thought processes are typical of Christians (or even appear to be typical), people will be less inclined to find Christianity convincing.

(similarly with proving the bible by quoting from it)

It's the why do atheists say Christians aren't smart ones that are doing my head in these days. That and the general level of functional ignorance amongst many of the Christians, at an all-time low. It's like they're *trying* to look bad. Do they need to feel persecuted that much? Oy.

I love the answers to the Pascal's. Good fun that. Cheers to whomever turned it into a game.

Countermeasure? A hundred daily versions of Are the Christians trying to look like their brains haven't evolved?

I've started copy-and-paste proceedures from times when I answered the exact same question. They say repitition is the mother of all teachers... so maybe if I do that enough I won't have to, right? Nah! But at least it's an easy two points!

I’m a Christian and I know the flaw of Pascal’s Wager. If you atheists can’t figure it out, guess you’ll have to keep on with your silly drinking game.

YES! I totally agree, and have been contemplating what we should do to counter this attack. Unfortunately, they don't have their own drinking game, darn it.
I'll try to think of something creative and get back to you.
