There are alot of options you could try as an alternative to sodas.

Smoothies are cool & refreshing & are a great place to get your vitamins & nuttients. That can often give you the boost you need to stay awake longer.

Another option is energy drinks. Though they're not very good for you, they're loaded with caffeine, and the low calo & sugar free ones aren't tormented with unnecessary calories.

Coffee is a traditional choice, as long as its regular (not decaf). you can try lattes, regular drip coffee or plain espresso, but the caffeine is what will get ya' going!

Water is great! Studies actually show that an apple & glass of ice water will wake you up better than a cup of coffee. I've tried it, and I do agree that an apple helps wake me up!

Crystal light has this new "on-the-go" stuff, in the packets. It's Wild Strawberry, with caffeine & B-vitamins; it's the "Energy blend" to get ya' going! I think it tastes really good, whether its got caffeine or not. I just like the flavor.

Hope I could help ya out! Coffee is my fav, and definitely my 1st choice! Try a few things out & see what works for you!

:o)

It isn't a drink but an apple does a better job waking you up than coffee.

Smoothies with vitamins. Any drink with vitamins or immune boosters actually. Or coffee. Starbucks iced coffee in a can is really good...or the espresso in a can.

I was going to suggest green tea, but if you're a man and out with the guys, then...uh...no. There's that five hour energy drink. You don't have to worry about the steady caffiene flow that way.

Alcohol makes you even more drowsy and you seem to referring to night outs and so, I dunno what the solution there would be (pun intented) It would be strange to be drinking coffee. Maybe you could just jump around and eat candy?
