I would like to be able to set passwords and a window of time that they can be on so I don't have to worry about them being on the computer all night. A automatic shut down feature would be nice.

You dun need any extra software you fulfill your requirements......

microsoft windows already have it here for us

two kinds pswd can be implemented

one is BIOS which i wld not like to recommned it to complete layman,........

second one is windows password....
goto........Control panel
now >>useraccounts>> pick account you want to set passward .........&there it goes..

oh..and solution to your other problem i.e. setting sleeptimer can be done with......
ControlPanel>>schedule task>>shutdown

Don't do that. Talk to your kids about not spending too much time on the computer. If you do this and they find out, they will sense that you don't trust them and it would be a lot more damaging than if you just talked to them about it, even if they don't always follow exactly what you say.

i think that program is already on the computer. you should go to start then control panel and click on user accounts?
