I am making a 3 tier american wedding cake, the kind that is stacked one on top of the other, rather than having pillars to separate the cakes. I need a suitable box to transport it in, but can't find one anywhere. The box will need to be at least 14 inches square, and a minimum of 10 inches high. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You can get stacked cake boxes from any of these online shops. They all stock 14 inch square boxes that are taller than 10 inches.

The boxes are not cheap but they are very sturdy and I suppose you could re-use them.

Maybe you can you cardboard boxes instead. They are more tough and will hold your cakes better. So you can get those at any mailing stores. And they come in many sizes. Hope I helped. Good luck!

why does it have to be a cake box?

go to hardware shop and get one of those plastic toy boxes or storage containers. they are very durable and you can line it with paper. no one is going to see it anyway so this is a very safe transportation option.

Our cake is being assembled at the venue. It's not too complicated, and makes it much less risky to trainsport
