Yes. It usually takes about a week or more for the tattoo to heal over, and for that area of skin to return to its normal state. If the tattoo continues to irritate or burn, you should see a doctor, as there may be an infection.

it all depends on the place you got it and how much pressure is on it. I have one on my lower back that was painful for a few days due to having the bandage, plus clothing, plus the pressing up against it due to sitting in a chair.
I would do as others suggested, take advil and relax. It will be sore for about a week or a little more due to what your skin just went through with all of the needles. Let's think about how many nerve cells were poked, and you will realize that is ok.....
However, if it goes on too long, call the tattoo place and ask them about it.
Good Luck....

yes, that can be normal. as long as your tattoo doesn't feel hot to the touch, swollen or oozy (like pus) you're fine. if you have any of the above signed of infection, go see your doctor.
imagine a major road rash -- scrape, it's sore for a few days, right? and possibly even longer. wait until your tattoo starts itching as it heals -- you'll wish for the days when it was sore! just remember not to pick at it!

Yes it is. A needle repeatedly punctured your skin, probably for at least an hour. It's not going to heal in a day. I think some places will hurt more after than others. Where did you get yours on your body? I got mine on my ankle, and it hurt to first stand up for the entire first week.
But it's good to ask questions if you are unsure. Good luck!

Yes, that is normal. Tattooing isn't an easy process for the skin. It will feel better or itchy very soon...

Very Normal...
You just had pins stuck into your skin!
Give it at least 10 days to start feeling normal.
