Who / what comes first in your life?

Who / what would you be more willing to die for?

If your afterlife has separate compartments (heaven and hell), would you give up the good one to be with your spouse in the bad one?

My girlfriend comes first.

I wouldn't even allow a mosquito to bite me in the name of atheism. But for my girlfriend, I get out of bed every single night, to kill those 2 awful mosquitos that are trying to suck her blood.

My basic definition of Love: I'd rather do horrible things with her, than beautiful things without her. I think that answers your last question :)

kids first, spouse next, then rest of family and friends, then my religion.

religion is down on the list because i don't know if it's real or not. i feel it's real, but i KNOW my kids, family and friends are real.

dying for would be in the same order, without religion. i would die for my country but i am not sure that i would die for my religion

yes, i would give up the good one to be with my spouse, but he's atheist, so when he's dead, he's just dead, and since i'm pagan, there isn't a good or bad place to go

Jehovah
The second part is hard because at some point I may be called to lay down my life for Him however it also says in the Bible about having no greater love than in laying down your life for others.
For the third, I would not give up heaven to be in hell with my spouse.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength. This is the first and greatest commandment.

God is first above everyone. I would be more willing to die for
God than my spouse, however I don't think that is something I will ever have to face as my spouse loves God more than she loves me, and would die for Him first.

I would not spend eternity in Hell for anyone or anything. Once
again, I do not have to make that choice because I am certain
my wife and I and all seven of our children will be in Heaven because we have all trusted Christ for salvation and we all love Him and serve Him.

"This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:10-11.

In other words, without Christ I simply don't have the ability to love my God with all my heart, mind, soul & strength or my neigbor as myself (i.e. my spouse with God-defined love) (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Mark 12:29-31). To die for my spouse would be the same as dying for God. To die for God (that is for the sake of the true Gospel) would be the same as dying for my spouse. If I truly understand God's Word correctly.

"Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior.... Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her." Ephesians 5:21-23, 25

I have news for you: if you give up heaven, you will not be with ANYONE that you love or even like in hell. Hell cannot contain love.

We live our lives according to the Bible, and the Bible tells us God 1st, others 2nd, yourself 3rd. I would die for my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. My afterlife definitely has 2 eternal places. Heaven is where I will be going, along with my husband.

I have four Loves in my life
ONE and foremost is my relationship with Christ. It is on Him that all other aspects of my life rest.
Two My family. Together in Christ we care and protect each other in our shared love.
Three My country. Red Blooded American boy. I hurt when our people are hurt morn when they die defending us. Proud for the manor that we conduct ourselves in the world.
Four SAILING.. This God has given sailing to me to restore me body and soul. I love the feel of the power of the wind and I am amazed at the forces He has created in nature..
Yes each of my loves are based on my faith in Christ. Without Him life would be a waste.. Jim

Jesus is the Author of love. He HAS to come first in my life if I, myself, want to truly know how to love others. The Israelites spent 400 years circling the same area looking for the Promised Land because God wasn't first to them. That's what people do today who say they love God but never make Him "LORD " of their lives. #2 my child. And If God chose me to die for my faith, I would not hesitate. But it is a whole lot easier to die for your faith than it is to walk the Christian walk. There's great joy in being God's child. But to anyone that says " it's a cakewalk" I say you're dancing with a false god. #3. NO! Absolutely not! He's responsible for his own salvation. But thankfully, we are on the same train.

God is first in my life, if I am Godly in action my wife will have first place in this life. The afterlife will take care of it's self.

Easy question! Spouse! (Well, boyfriend, but maybe someday...)

I believe in gods and goddesses, sure, but they don't need me to love them. They don't mind if I chose not to. (Just like the people on Y!A, their lives don't revolve around me.) And they certainly don't expect me to die for them. I might die for my right to believe what I choose, but that's not set in stone. I would DEFINITELY die for my sweetie. And my afterlife has only one place for everyone, but even if there was hell, I'd do anything to take my BF out of it, or (if I couldn't do that) I'd switch places so I would suffer in his place.

I know he'd do the same for me, though I don't need or want him to. That's what love is.
