That's the difference between education, and indoctrination. Let me hear your doctrine, and I'll do the learning. On the other hand, it is sometimes difficult to ask simple questions, without getting slammed...sometimes it's like pulling teeth..

Yahoo answers and questions are supposed to be just that. Answers and questions - not debate and hate.
If someone were searching and asked a question and people answered in a smart, knowledgable way someone could be converted (on their own terms)
But I believe we should not go into this forum with the intent of "converting people"

It is not the ideal place to show someone another view point if people are going to be throwing "stones" at each other but there are individuals who can be converted here on yahoo answers. After all I don't believe yahoo! Answers exist to answer questions in some categories of our existence but all categories.

We just simply give our opinions and ideas just like all the others here. You can go to haties or where ever you want to go...matters not to me. We all make choices and you are making your and we have made ours. I think most of you are products of a church gone wrong, maybe your hatred comes from being abused when you were young...but that is your business and no one here is trying to convert you, if you hate it that much you would be on another site.
Something I find very interesting is Christians are not trying to convert anyone...The other "whatever you call them" ask questions and if a Christian happens to say something you all jump all over them with terrible names, etc, etc and I have not seen one of them do that to you. I think you do protest too much!

i might desire to be sure good evidence until now i've got faith the form of tale as you tell in this rant. If a man or woman is suffering to discover God, Yu Ti, Zeus, Odin, the FSM or the different gods, he's hardly an atheist. Yahoo solutions seems a large place to show that Christianity is a bad joke. You help to show it with this doubtful rant.

The beauty of Yahoo Answers is that we4 have a forum to ask and answer questions that we feel are pertinent to our own beliefs and things we are just curious about. Some people might be inclined to rethink their views others are just never going to see past the noses on their face. If you beleive in something strongly enough and you are able to reach just one other person it is worth it.

Well, let me put it to you this way. I'm Atheist, and it seems like since I started responding to religious questions and statements, my email box filled up pretty quickly with attempts at converting me into Christianity. It's funny, however, when I consider that Christians are the only group who has tried! No one else!
And people get upset when I compare Christians to Amway salesmen! I haven't been shown any different.

No. The person has his or her made up. I believe you should try to answer a question if you have a good answer. If not just move on. People now a day are just trying to be offensive, ignorant and intolerant to other people's beliefs.
