There is some variation in gasoline production. depends on how "heavy" the oil is. Light oil will actually produce some natural gasoline (about 80 octane) right at the well head. The rest of the production is done by "cracking" at the refinery. Generally the refinery produces a range of products from a given source barrel and can adjust its gasoline percentage somewhat depending on the demand for other products. Just like a butcher who adjusts prices to sell all the cuts from a given cow to maximize his profit.

This web site said that it took 330,000 barels to make 248,000 barels gasoline. This is an efficiency of ; 248/330*100% or 75% Because there are 159 liters in a petrolium barrel you can say that it is about 119 liters.
