Actually nothing will happen at all. But you should really get rid of the maggots.

Unless the maggots were in something that had been poisoned your dog will probably be absolutely fine. It's disgusting to you and me, but not to your dog!

Call your vet to be sure, and to get more advice about what to do. You probably don't need to do anything because maggots are just protein for your dog.

Usually maggots will die when chewing, if not they will die in the stomach. (power full acid). So they are harmless.
if maggots are in a rotten food, the problem will be the bacterias developed in the food.

no longer something handed off after her ate a chew of fowl he chanced on on the area walk - with maggots. i made him positioned it down as rapid as i found out what replaced into occurring. scared me,yet I watched him and remembered maggots consume ineffective rotting flesh. seems effective at present.

well my cousins dog does that, i think its creepy, but you can kill the maggots and throw them to the trash so ur dog can stop eating them.
