While eliminating waste your sitting there thinking and the feeling overcomes you to pray...would it be ok to pray while on the toliet?
I know this sounds bizarre but I am serious.

I knew a priest once who was chipped for taking his bible to the toilet to read. They asked him if it wasn't disrespectful. He said 'No, one end is working for God, the other for the devil.'

Pray wherever you like.

Cheers :-)

Personally I wouldn't take the Bible into the restroom to read it while I sat there..know what I mean? Respect for my God. I don't read anything having to do with God on the toliet. I could, but CHOOSE not to.
Respect.
I also would not place a scripture plaque in the restroom either. I know someone who has a scripture plaque in her restroom right above the toilet..I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me...and I told her brother she needs to move it for respect for God.
He agreed.
Respect.
Would you call someone on the phone while you're sitting there? And between grunts talk to them?
Personally I don't. It is simple respect.
Don't call God till you finish, OK?
I really think God can handle you NOT talking to him until you're out of the toilet room.
I don't care if the pope reads the Bible sitting on the toilet. I choose not to.

I don't think that is a silly question at all. Actually, there is a Jewish prayer for almost everything including going to the bathroom successfully. Some people have horrible digestive and urinary diseases that does not allow them to go to the bathroom normally. There is a prayer thanking god for a healthy bowel movement essentially. I learned this because I have ulcerative colitis and then I read about this prayer. Now I see why it exists.

If this is the only time you have to yourself where you can speak with God on a One-to-one, I'm sure He will accept your prayers. However, personally, I would use this option as a last resort - it just seems weird. Do you take the phone into the bathroom?

Prayer is a beautiful thing and the fact that you pray to God is great! You can pray where ever you want! Of course being in church you will probably feel closer to God. God wants us to talk to Him. I think he'd rather us talk to Him on the toilet than not at all, i think it is totally acceptable as long as you make time for God other than on the toilet.

You can pray anytime that you feel the need to pray. We are human and we have to deposit of our waste. God is the one that designed our bodies, trust me, He is not grossed out. The important thing is that you are praying.
