I just read a billboard that said, "No Jesus, no peace." Really? So the peace I get from taking care of my four year old daughter, that's not actually real? Oh and I guess it's much more peaceful to disown family members that are gay or have stopped worshiping God.

There is something missing because you are not at peace now.

Don't believe everything you read! The bible says explicitly that Jesus did not come to bring peace but deviding a father from his son, a mother from her daughter a brother from a brother . . . . I dont know what Jesus the billboard is talking about.

Because, the main problem within christianity is its influence on its people. They are brainwashed into believing that their lives is "fufilled" with "god's Love", that Jesus is "working in their lives", that "Prayer is effective". These concepts are drummed into them by pastors at churches, and they wholeheartedly go along, thinking that their live will only be complete if they do this, or they do that for "Jesus". Taking a look at verses in the bible also, and you will likely find many reasons as to why such behaviour occurs by christians, why family members would be disowned if they say did something that isn't what was condoned by the bible.

That peace you feel with your daughter is expierencing something good. God says that all good things come from him.

James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

We shouldn't disown any family members. Yes, we can have people out of churches if they live a life against scipture, homosexuality is a sin.

1 corinthians 6:8-10
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

A Jesus message was 'change from your wrong ways, straighten your paths. Sin's causeing Earth's TURMOIL= ,earthquakes, tornadoes, famine, sickness, such is why the Earth's inhabitants are going through suffering. "Sin no more...."

xxxxxxDO NOT accept Satan's ways,
"those who is family = GOD the FATHER.

Colossians 3
5Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[b]
7You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all

Not many people are genuinely happy. When your religion says you are suppose to be joyful and deep down you are not the only thing to do is to either get honest and face the music or attempt to cast doubt on others.

It is much easier to try to make others feel bad than to do something productive.

Not all Christians are like that.

And my family did not disown me when I was an atheist, nor did they disown my niece when she was caught having a threesome. And yes, I was raised in a very Christian family.

Because they don't think you are happy with out Jesus. I don't live for the sin of Adam and Eve or with the fear of going to hell. I don't know why they think I am so unhappy either.

I'm Christian but I'm appalled at this billboard. That is disgraceful.

That is completely the opposite of being Christian.
