Considering the massive drain that it has placed upon the tax paying citizen - just think of how much money that would actually free up if we did get all these illegals off of the gov. programs that they are on!

I am totally in favor of enforcement of the laws already in place that were set there to address the problems that have come about because of lack of enforcement.

Make it so that none that are not citizens of this country are able to get food stamps, medical care, free schooling, housing, or jobs - how long you really think that they are going to want to stay here?

No exceptions, no excuses, no compromises and no amnesty. except you're an area American, you're an immigrant or an instantaneous decedent of an immigrant. usa has been a melting pot and could be for some destiny years. With that stated, i'm no longer antagonistic to sending illegals back to their living house usa. In Georgia, illegals from Mexico are taking jobs from others with the aid of the loads. i do no longer innovations those persons being right here, yet i believe that there could be a technique in place to wonderful those employers who hire illegals. If the employers do no longer hire the illegals, then the illegals won't have jobs right here and there could no longer be any reason to come back right here for prosperity purposes.

Deportation of 12 to 20 million people would be a logistical and financial nightmare. Besides, we as citizens have to be realistic - the political fallout alone will prevent it from ever happening.

The biggest problems we face are political. If there's a way to take the politics out of the equation, then maybe something can be done. And there is a way........

Since some form of amnesty is inevitable, we need to accept that. But the political fighting and posturing is all because of "Who's gonna gain VOTERS? Democrats or Republicans?" To eliminate that, pass a bill that eliminates "Naturalization" as a path to citizenship - and voting. From now on, people with green cards can continue to live here, but with no option to continue path to citizenship - then the politicians will just do what's right for the country - or at least it takes out a PART of the political driving forces in the issue.

I favor deporting illegal aliens that are murderers & rapists... all the bad seeds. I say leave the one that are not killing people or driving drunk or selling drugs alone. Leave the ones that are law abiding working hard just trying to make a better life.

Excuse me Bob but that's MRS.JETER. And I understand that they already broke the law coming here illegally but if that's the only law they have broken then I say they can stay. I really do hope they can stay. I have a question for u though. Are you also saying that you don't care if they have lived here for years and consider America their home, not broken any OTHER laws pay taxes they should go home too?

yes

But we would not have to deport them if laws were all enforced on hiring them, letting them rent or buy property, etc. They could not stay here and would go home on their own if we did not let them work without documentation.

Yes, in moderation. We've got so many of them now that if they all left in a month, we'd be screwed. They are our primary work force, but they are illegal. If we could gradually pull them all out within a year, it would allow more jobs for citizens, our economy would do much better with those guys out, since all they do is suck all our tax money down the drain, and we wouldn't have illegals anymore.

no, not mass deportations, but work place yes, target the employers and the workers, and after companies officers not only get big fines and jail time, their cheap labor will not be so cheap

NO the economy would crash. We need to have a way of giving them id's so we can keep track of them etc but we can't deport all of them or our economy would be down the toilet. Also our fruit prices would skyrocket if Americans did the work.
