That's what it comes down to....grace through faith alone, leads to salvation, lest anyone boast.
People confuse the fruit of the spirit with saving grace.

You are confused about a great many things. Most of all who Jesus is, He was both God and man, He was fully God and fully man, the two natures were homogenese so blended that they two were inseparable and the no third element was made. It is by faith that we are saved and this not of ourselves lest any man should boast! This is not from Catholicism, but the Holy Bible. James also says faith without works is dead. For faith being believed means we commit whole heartedly to action, if no action then there is no faith established. Faith then creates in the believer a response of Christ in their hearts - Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen - these things are Christ to show to all that we have truly believed and fully accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.
additional response - the works that a Christian will do is the Works of Christ - there are no other works that the Christian can manifest in their life - for any other proves that they are a false witness of God

Some things come in a package like the fruit of the spirit. It says fruit, singular, but there are about nine of them in the package. When you listen to the spirit through your intuition, it's as if God was talking to you and you get all the fruit, if you listen and ask questions about the unusual ideas that come to you. You get so much love you just gotta tell the world or help people, ya love 'em so. That's your works. You can't have faith very well without the guidance ot the spirit. "Faith is evidence." No evidence, little faith. Faith is part of the fruit of the spirit. So's self control. Awful hard to follow the ten commandments without the spirit and self control. We call it intuition, but the spirit speaks through it. It's just hard to tell which is your own thoughts so you "test the inspired experessions to see if they're from God." So simple. Hidden in plain sight.
Emotional Intelligence courses are taught in major corporations now to employees. It leads you to intuition and hopefully basic spirituality with basic metaphysics as a logical next step. The spirit explains the bible. "The spirit of truth leads you into all truth, even the deep things of God." Straighforward, huh. Only hard to believe. The scientific method is to test it out. I suggest reading up on intuiton or emotional intelligence and the like, because the brain needs brain food, if it's going to figure anything out. Intelligence is also information, like in the Central Intelligence Agency. They're supposed to gather intelligence, information.
Catch the promo for "The Secret " or the book. Paris Hilton was videotaped with a copy. You don't want her to get ahead of you, do you? The movie clip's not perfect, but it's a fun start. The movie is not in the theaters because it's a secret. Shh. If you expect it to be too scientific, heck, movies should be fun. That's the right spirit right there.

the truth is you had an eternal soul before jesus and the whole heaven and hell things has always applied jesus claimed to be the author of resurection which would lead to something entirly different than what happened after his death. the truth is the whole cathaholic thing where you can commit evil acts and wickedness and say your sorry to jesus and not go to hell is a complete crock thats why the priests think they can molest kids and get away with it "oh sorry for that one well i'm saved" the truth is its to lead everyone into darkness don't follow blindly all you have to do to see all is not well is look around you. If you want to go to heaven do good and never intentionaly do bad believe in the good and god and you will be saved and let no man lead you astray if you think what I have to say will only lead you into darkness do not listen. all I'm trying to say is if you know something to be wrong don't do it

Not really a question, but...
Salvation is by Grace (not works, not words). It is given free, gratis, just because He loves you. All you have to do is truthfully ask. Not a "gimme some", but honestly ask. Heaven is a gift, you cannot earn it. I think (by your question) your ideas about salvation and faith are backwards. Salvation is first, and faith is a result of Salvation.
Don't blame Catholics for misconceived, misinterpreted ideas.

Am I missing something here....? We ALL (babies, people who never heard of the bible, etc) deserve to go to hell because a magical talking snake convinced one woman thousands of years ago to eat one fruit? Isn't that just a little unfair? And what the hell was wrong with eating the fruit anyway? Whats wrong with knowledge of good and evil? If Adam and Eve couldn't comprehend evil, how could they understand that eating the fruit was wrong? Hopefully your question was just a really bizarre joke....

it makes sense. the Bible does say "ye are saved by faith" and "not by works so no man can boast" or something like that. but remember "faith without works is dead". you're saved by your confession of faith, but God's kingdom has to be shared. "ye shall know them by their fruit", and fruit in part refers to what they do.
works don't earn you your salvation, but they're required as a servant of God. what kind of servant doesn't work? a dead servant, that's the type....

Works are not required for your salvation.
But "through your works I will know your faith"
They go hand in hand.
