I find my bowel movements have suddenly become very loose (no doubt due to some hideous food I've consumed in the last 24 hours). I have been having cramps all evening and been to the toilet several times. My bowel movememts are extremely loose. What should I be eating to help my stomach get back to normal? I usually eat alot of fibre but I'm guessing that's not the best to be eatying right now.

You are wrong fibre -holds things together. So yes fibre- people whom have diarrhea are put on a BRAT(T) diet. Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, and tea.

Stay away from milk products for 48 hours after diarrhea.

I know what you mean, I'm having the same deal here, but I'm just on my 3rd food for an 11-mnth pup, been on adult food since the start. I mean, the soft-serve style of poop, that you can't pick up, not the rejection. The stuff we have now, it's kind of off-and-on soft and firm, not consistently either way just yet. We're using Diamond Naturals chicken & rice, get it at a feed store, $32 for 40 lbs. It looks good on paper (no corn or road kill, etc.). The other dog, his poops weren't too bad on the other stuff, but they are excellent with this food, so I'm sticking with it. The dogs eat a much lower quantity of it and they poop less, too. I guess, bottom line, my advice, is stick with it for a couple months. The last alternative (as I see it) is to have him tested for allergies. Or maybe, switch to a raw diet (google it).

You need a good balance of fiber. If your stomach can handle it, buy an oat bar or fiber bar. Eat some banana, also if you can get it some papaya or mango. Stay away from too much dairy. Avoid any foods that bring on cramps after you eat them. Drink lots of water.

Pumpkin, no not you, eat pumpkin, not pie, just pumpkin. It works easily, and I think it is so easy to make. Buy the can with everything, go by the recipe on the can, and voila, poopy like Snoopy. I know, it has sugar etc., but it works and has loads of Vitamin C. It takes two eggs, and I go ahead and use the Canned milk . What da hell. Eat as much as you like...
By the way, get some plain yogurt , Acidophilus Lactobacillus_, if you have used any Antibiotics lately, they also destroy the good bacteria. Yes, we have friendly Bacteria in our Lower Gastro-intestinal track. Tract? So, use the Yogurt. Not too much sugar, it grows yeast, and you don;t want yeast in your weakened Bowels....Hoping U have no more spats with the toilet. And, no fried foods or animal fat.

I would take some immodium tablets - they work really well for me and are fast! If you don't wanna use tablets I've heared dry toast works well, although I dunno why - I'd have thought the fiber in it would make things worse, but I dunno as I've not tried it! Hope you're feelin better soon! xx

ps I've just read the above - do drink lots of water! You will be dehydrated and you need water to help flush what's causing this out - it's v important - drink water!!!
