People who invoke strong emotions in our lives often present themselves in our subconscious. What was the interaction? What were they doing? What were they saying? What is your participation? All of these help understand why they are there.

If the reason you don't like someone is because of a bad relationship. Then their appearance in a dream might have to do with endings or new beginnings. Do you not like them because they remind you of something about yourself. If so, your dreams might be making you face that fact.

But to say you really "loathe" someone is the same type of emotion of "love." Only the people that we care about provoke strong emotions with us.

Simply examine the context of the dream and the person and why you dislike them. This will probably tell you all you need to know.

Dreams can often be explained by the most pressing and/or dominant emotion playing in our minds at the time we fall asleep. Strong emotions of love and hate/loathing can very easily trigger dreams about that person, especially if that person is in a position where we feel they cannot be touched. The dream comes along as a way of bridging the distance between our perceptions and our feelings. For example, if your boss is making your life a living hell, you could be dreaming about them (especially if you dream about chopping their head off) as a way to overcome the social and legal gaps that prevent you from doing to them what you feel like doing to them.

The circumstances of the dream also dictate the relation of the dreamer to the person/object. If you dream of someone you loathe making your life miserable in your dreams, it could be a symbol of feeling helpless to stop them, so much so that they can even make you feel miserable and helpless within your most private of selves. On the other hand, if you dream of killing, maiming, or otherwise negating their existence, it could mean that you are venting your constricted emotions in a way that is healthy sane and safe for both you and them; can't be arrested for dreaming of killing or hurting someone.

Alot of factors go into such a dream, and it's better if the dreamer themselves attempts to understand why they are dreaming what they are dreaming. That's because sometimes one's conscious feelings can hide and/or protect one's subconscious feelings (sometimes loathing masks feelings of attraction and longing, which makes one feel vulnerable and helpless, which inspire the conscious feelings of loathing.) Asking someone to interpret a dream of someone they loathe could thus bring about a totally different interpretation, due to the lack of information that the dream doesn't share.

Either way, once you understand the true relation between yourself and the person, only then can you begin to understand the dream.

It means you pay too much attention to them to the point that they're even bothering you in your subconscious state. You don't have to like everyone, but think of why you really "loathe" this person and just let it go - they're so not worth the stress & losing a good night's sleep.

You can think about anybody--positively or negatively and you can dream about different people also; however, hate and loathing waste your energy, and maybe your system is asking you to reduce or stop such energy waste. Please meditate or day dream on these dream messages and the best solutions for you. Good luck!
