Only 1 nascar race yesterday. the Indianapolis 500 is an Indy Racing League sanctioned event. The Nascar race was the Coca Cola 600. IRL is an open cockpit racing league. 2 different circuits. Hope that helps clear it up

The area of NASCAR you race for full time and not part time and what car has more sponsorship and money and resources and equipment. If it was between like Indy and Cup it would be Cup hands down if you race in Cup full time but if you are a full time Indy driver then you would race Indy instead of Cup because of contracts and other extras like that.

I believe the situation you are referring to is the Craftsman Truck Series in Mansfield, OH and the Busch Series in Charlotte, NC on the same day. This doesn't happy very often at all. Most drivers are committed to one series or the other. Decisions are made at the beginning of the year as to what schedule a driver will participate in. Not very many drivers are running both Busch and Truck Series .

I have never seen TWO nascar CUP races on the same day. I have seen a busch race and a cup race on the same day years ago, but I don't think they do that anymore. Perhaps you were watching re-runs.

mostly with sponsorship deals and how the race will help them. truck racing will not help a driver find a way to become better in the nextel cup series for the next days race but in the same way kevin harvick owns a truck racing team and he runs the truck races. a lot also comes from if the races are at the same track as the nextel cup. martinsville hosts truck racing and nextel but the busch series does not go to martinsville.

I wasn't aware there was, unless there was a truck race. Generally, the "Busch" series is run on Saturday and the Nextel Cup runs on Sundays. Now, the Indy 500 was run yesterday...but that's not NASCAR, rather, it's IRL.

There aren't 2 cup races the same day. Busch and Truck usually run on their own nights as well.

there are never 2 cup races so you must mean the trucks and the bush...but they dont run on the same night normally...so in case that should happen they go where the sponsor and the owner figure the money is better

Unless Busch,or Trucks run the same day as cup it would not happen.
But the main contract would be the one they honor.
