Do you like women to come right out and TELL you that they like you? Or do you like a more subtle approach?

I like an older man who I believe likes me back, but then we end up joking or laughing and I don't think he takes me seriously.

Is it best to tell him flat out that I think we'd have a lot of fun together if we went out? Or do I wait for him to ask me out if he's interested?

He seems interested... just hasn't asked me out.

Advise me, oh wise ones....

Let him come and get you. You're worth it. Guys would like to know whether you like them or not because that would make things easier, but they don't want to be flat out told. Do what women do when they're interested. Flirt, smile, do things that make it just slightly obvious, the whole shebang. I start wondering if a girl is interested if she smiles, jokes, laughs, and makes efforts to hang out with me. Or you could just ask him out yourself and cut down on the waiting game time.

I'm a female, but I'd say beware of being too direct with him. Some guys (especially older guys who are still single) know exactly when a woman likes them and really enjoy keeping her guessing as to how he feels. This type will completely lose interest once you've actually asked them to state their feelings. On the other hand, you don't want to go out with one of those types anyway, so maybe it would be a good way to find out what he's like!

If he's not that type, and the reason he hasn't asked you out is because he's just shy, or thinking he's got no chance with you, it might help things along for you to show him you like him, but I'd still say don't come right out and say it. Guys always say they like it when women are direct about wanting to go out with them, but I'm not so sure it's true. Even if they THINK they would like it, I think once it happens they feel pressured.

Just keep being nice to him, and especially smile. If you laugh at his jokes, believe me he'll take you seriously. If he's over 25, trust me he knows you like him, so it's best just to wait. If you really can't stand waiting, you can always go the tried-and-true route of having someone else clue him in (particularly another guy) that you're interested.

Hope you don't mind that I answered this, being a female. Good luck!

ive said it b4 ill say it agian.MEN ARE EASY.we would love it if a girl would just make the 1st move for once.society has convinced women to sit and wait for a guy to make a move.BUT at the same time, men in THIS day and age are taught to use extreme caution when puttin the moves on the ladies for reasons i shouldnt have to explain.
so it turns into a stand still.
for christ sake woman just tell him YOU want to take HIM out to eat then to a bar for some drinks.and YOU pick HIM up.so that way he knows you want more than just friends if you went through all that trouble.we do it all the time and for many men,its just another expensive weekend because women know they can get this treatment from many guys whenever she wants.

I say leave the games to the high school girls. Grown men like to be treated as such and while some flirting and teasing is always fun you need to be straight up about things if you are looking for something serious and meaningful. If the guy recoils at this and doesn't react in a favorable way then you are wasting your time.
Just be honest about what you want...give him some room, don't come off pushy, but do make it clear to him

I think it's better to be yourself. You can tell him straight out or just with a subtle approach. When you're unnatural, humans tend to no know what to do. If your natural, you know exactly what you would do next. Most girls tend to be shy a bit when they ask others out, there is a reason I believe. Maybe evolution happens to make us adapt to the method. If you don't know what to do just tell him straight. People like girls that are straightforward. Be sure he likes you though.

Miss M, Sweetie I am 46 and was floored by a young woman I keep hoping that she will come see me and just verbally open her heart ! Most of us older guys were raised to be gentlemen so we are leary about making "the first move". I will say a prayer for you,"and me"!

As a older man,i would say,you should tell him.The society we live in frowns on old/young relationships.Their is a stigma attached to a older man and a younger woman, like the woman thinking he's and old perv. if he states first his feelings towards you.So go ahead and tell him your interested and take it from there, you might be surprised how great it can be.

No harm in expressing your interest. If he likes you, who cares who asked who first.

İn your case, however, expecially with an older man, he would come forward if he is indeed interested. Older man are a bit mature and more confident about this.

It depends upon how much older he is. If your age difference in significant he might think your cute and fun to flirt with and nothing more.
Ask him if he ever thought about you two going out on a date and take it from there.

Ask him out for a casual thing, that is: something that is not really classified as a date. Add alcohol. If nothing happens, sorry. Either he doesn't like you or is not really worthy.

Ah, you could always take your clothes off in front of him and see if he gets a bone, but that is for brave girls.
