Hi!

A friend of mine is doing the translation of a glossary dealing with clothing.

here are occurrences of the word "steps":
steps in lace
steps in cotton mix
mini steps
toe steps in cotton mix
steps with silicon strap

She couldn't find anything on the Internet or in dictionaries, and neither could I. Since I lived in the UK, she thought that I night have heard of it, but since I don't buy women magazines, I have no idea what "steps" mean. Apparently, steps are in the "pantyhose" category. I figured they were some sorts of socks, but more feminine, but since it's an official translation, my guess is worseless!

So, does anyone know what "steps" are? If so, would you have a pic. of what they look like?

Thanks

I don't understand what you mean by "original language version". The text has to be translated from English (into French, but that's irrelevant to my question), so the words I gave are the oroginal version. It's a glossary, so there are really no context except that's it's related to clothing, and apparently is in the "pantyhose" s.ection
