While I'm not aware of any official position, it is common for the Church to produce guidance on things like basic health. I did find an LDS women's manual with a lesson on Maternal and Infant Care with the following quote: "Breast milk, especially during the days immediately following birth, is the best food for a baby."

The LDS Church is silent on the matter.
Additionally, the LDS Church reccommends that couples should not have more children than they can financially support. As well, that couples should consider the health of the mother before all else, and only have children if her health is not going to be compromised.
Many LDS women, however, encourage breastfeeding among their LDS peers as it is best for baby. If an LDS woman decides to bottle-feed, though, it is her decision.

Actually, the church's policy on having children is that it is a decision left up to the couple and the Lord. What they feel is best from them, no one is told to have lots of children. That is a Mormon culture thing. As for breastfeeding, the church has no policy on that.

If you are thinking about modesty issues, the best way I found to brest feed a baby in public, is to dawn a blanket over the child (and my breast) before pulling out the breast, while breast feeding, and after putting the breast back in t he shirt. I am not sure how you will handel this with garments, never handeled this issue with garments, amybe that is what you are asking. Still, if you find a way to breastfeed with garments, and want to protect others from seeing the said garments under your breastfeeding bra, a blanket will still sheild you from such a thing.

I've never heard a stance on breastfeeding, but most Mormon churchs have a "Mother's Room", complete with rocking chairs. Most women go in there to change or breastfeed their babies.

I'm sorry, I just had to ask this question: What?
That is a very odd question to me. It is like asking whether they have a stance on wearing shoes.
I don't think they feel there is a religious significance to breastfeeding.
